The Real Bartram vs. Geno The Machino

Demi is Tin Man. It's Demi Jelatis, you prob know him from the US Open that's who he is.

He just wants to bet that y'all will play some in the next 6 months. The details of how yall play make it too specific for a bet like that. That's why he can bet only that yall do play some gambling not a tourney. If he bets on the exact game that's asking to get trapped up.

Kind of like your watch line.

ok cool i get it now.
but gene said he will play even for 5 k min.
and i know people always play if they say they will.
so i cant bet the way tin man said.

Wow Nova! I have been out of the pool scene for sometime and probably couldn't find my way back with a tour guide. It's the same old thing. The second I get on here and read a post from you, it's you talking about everyone else you are friends with and how they will play you for whatever. Bash people and their games, talk about how x won't play y, he said she said, it never stops with you. Yet, when it comes to YOU actually doing anything related to pool you use the same cheap comp out I don't play very good or I don't have the money to play for that, or whatever, BUT I will call someone. It's NEVER you doing anything but trying to sick someone you are friends with on someone else.

You say it's just game and you don't care yet you are so passionate about how everyone plays and who is playing. Sounds like you are just trying to live your life vicariously through others that are more talented than you.

Please for the love of God, STOP TALKING till YOU do anything. Let the people that are doing the playing speak for themselves. They are all good guys, and can speak for themselves.

Tom Cox

Tom, I've never had a problem with you and I don't really care to so I'll make this short. If a buddy of mine wants me to post an offer for a game for them, I'm going to. If you don't like what I have to say, add me to your ignore list and you won't have to see my posts. Pretty simple. Have a good one.

Thanks for the offer.............

Geno, if you're not ready for Chris, I just got word on a warm up match for you. Come to Oshkosh and bet $2k playing John Fields. 9-ball on the big table. Play either a long race or an ahead set. Let me know.

When I'm ready to come over there I'll call my buddy Jeremy and have him set it up. It wouldn't be for 2 or three weeks from now though for sure maybe in a month.

Have some physical issues right now I have to work out. I'm back in therapy again. Kind of tweaked my shoulder again. Pushing a little too hard. Still healing up.

I'll get ahold of John and talk to him directly.

When I do come over I'll bet high. I know already i'll get all the action I want and that's great. John has some good backers that will bet it up and that's good. He plays good.

Thanks geno........

Chris,

The more I think about it the more excited I am about our match.
Right now I'm going through alot of exercise and rehab. I might be ready in a month and it might not be for 2or3 months but I want to be ready.

I'll know more about the time frame within the next 30 days.

If you want it to happen and so do I the rest is simple.

It's going to be a great match. Don't be too surprised when I call you to set up a time and place. Things we need to set up and agree on ahead of time.

Is this match ever going to happen?

Intigator...I like it..........

Take him off Geno!!!

Hi there Mike,

Wish I could have made it to the last 2 tourneys there in Iowa.

I've been having alot of trouble controling my blood sugar ever since I was diagnosed with diabetes for the last 2 years. There was a reason for this that I should have realized.

When I had shoulder surgery last March 15th they asked me if I had any bad teeth. i told them no. But I did have one that was pretty bad but it was the only one I had left to chew with. I had most of the back teeth pulled. Had 13 root canals and they were all bad about 4 years ago.

Little did I know but the tooth was abcessed. This was the problem with the blood sugar. it was out of control.

About 3 months ago I had the tooth fixed but it didn't help much because of the abcess.

Then they did a root canal, if for no other reason but to stop the pain.

I got terribly sick, dizzy, headack and had alot of trouble playing pool.

Finally I had them pull the tooth. You would think that this would take care of the problem but it didn't. I had some terrible infection in the jaw bone and had an oral surgeon cut the gum open and grind out as much of the infection that he could.

I was really sick at this time and was really having alot of trouble.

Finally this week the eyes are starting to focus better and the pool game is back. I really seriously thought about quiting because I was tired of not playing well. I was really tired of not feeling well also.

The upside is the shoulder has gotten real strong again and I got my break back.

I won 3 local weekly tournys in a row with all the good players here in them also. It feels good to fire those balls in again.

I'll be down as soon as I get that video redone. This tooth business also made me so sick I had to put that on hold also.

But right now it's full speed ahead and can't wait to play each day. I'm finally feeling strong as a bull.

The things I was blaming on being diabetic were actually caused by the abcessed tooth.

I've had a headack for about 3 years off and on. More on than off. Sick to my stomach every morning and whenever my stomach would get empty. I even had trouble driving the car sometimes. Couldn't seem to keep it straight. Almost like being drunk. Weak and shakey. And for no reason that I could put a finger on my aiming would just go in the tank and no matter how hard I would try I could not see the shot.

Anyway, thanks for the encouragement. Soon I will be making some noise in this pool world. But for right now I'm just getting my wings back.

Imagine the Perfect Aim guy not being able to aim. It was pretty frustrating.

Have a great day geno...........

Sir,

With all due respect - why in the world would you come on AZ to talk about playing Chris Bartram even for 5K + with all of these medical issues.

It seems you want to play him for some issue of pride....and that is a good way to lose $5K.

One would think you would train up for it secretly...get in dead punch...then try and catch him off guard and say, "Get up for $5K but you have to spot me "x, y, or z" in the next few days." I'm sure Chris, even out of stroke, would have a hard time turning that down. In fact, I'll bet he would do it.Then you kind of catch him off guard and have an edge. Sir, I believe you would need any edge you could get in order to beat him.

But you get on here and say you will play him EVEN when you could have probably got a spot? This, I just don't understand. There is no shame in asking for a spot from Bartram if you're not....a world class player. From this thread I hear you're good - but maybe not a world class competitor.

Chris is going to go into this match (if it happens) knowing he's playing someone who has all kinds of medical issues....and is obviously a bit scared to play....someone he can probably give a nice chunk of weight too...someone who doesn't bet as often for as much as Chris does...and they're going to be playing EVEN. Really?? And Chris says, give me a little notice...I'll need two days to hit balls.

If you're in dead punch, he will not only probably shoot as well as you, but he will grind you out if you're getting better rolls, or maybe breaking better, and beat you just by making it a marathon since he's younger and in better health. If you're diabetic...well, my dad is diabetic, and he's not going to be playing any marathon sessions of pool. Diabetes is a tough disease.

I know you're a long time great player, and a road player of some sort... I'm just a working class stiff...but just using the basic logic that God gave me, I'm still thinking that you're not using very good strategy in this match-up. I know you want to "show what you're made of", but $5000 is $5000...and I would want every edge I could have if I was going to go against a player like Bartram "even" of all things for it. Putting all your cards on the table - just doesn't make sense.

Tin Man - I'll bet $100 (or more) that they do NOT play an EVEN match within in the next 3 months. It will never happen. If they do not play an EVEN match (whatever game/set/etc..just playing EVEN) by the end of March 29, 2011 - I win. This is not to take away from Geno's game or anything else. I'm sure he's a great player in his own right. I'm on the good action list, are you Tin Man? I'm just asking - because I don't know. Send me a pm. Thanks.

Again, I'm just a nobody- so take my .02 with a grain of salt. But, I will say I would LOVE to see this match take place...and I would LOVE to see an old-timer beat Bartram playing even, because everyone loves to see the underdog win.

Hi there Matt,

Thanks for your input.

Mike is a friend of mine in Des Moines and i missed the last 2 tournys there. At this time I couldn't even think of trying to get to the tourny with this tooth thing going on. I love going to Big Dogs. There's a great bunch of guys there and I made some real good friends.

One thing I want to bring up is if there is anyone that has a tooth ache and they just keep on putting up with it they could be having some bad things happening to themselves because of it. I put myself through hell for about 3 years for sure thinking all my health things were from something else.

If a tooth hurts get it fixed right away or pulled. And don't get a root canal done. Just look up root canal toxins on the internet.

On the other hand when this thread was started I had no idea the tooth was making me as sick as it was and at that time is when I started having work done on it and it was really kicking my ass. Not only could I not play very good but I really didn't even feel like i wanted to. I just thought it was part of being diabetic. Now I'm not sick to my stomach most of the time and this headache I've had like forever has went away.

Well the bone has healed up and I'm feeling pretty good. handling diabetes now seems like a snap for the past week. I really try to eat like a saint to control it. Without that tooth thing it looks like my good eating habits will finally make a difference.

I didn't ask for this game with Chris, somebody else suggested it. If I'm playing my top game hard telling what will happen. Right now I'm starting to teach again and win most of the weekly tournys I can for practice.

I'm not worried about the money. When this game came up on AZ I had about 6 players wanting part of the action. In fact I wouldn't even of had any of it myself if i didn't want to. After seeing me with this tooth thing for about 2 months of hell I know some of them were doubting whether it was a good bet.

Right now I'm shooting better than ever but I still need to eat, sleep and excersize to get this 57 year old body back in shape. It won't take long but I need to put in the time.

I know what I'm doing and I appreciate your concerns alot but if this game goes down I will be ready. And I don't know if it could happen within 3 months, maybe. But I'm the only one that will know.

In the meantime I can play again and I'm just thankful I can play the game at a level that I'm happy with. That's why we all play this game because we love it and love to win.

Thanks again merry Christmas and a Happy New year. geno............

Awful nice of you to chime in here Matt and look out for the old man. Of course Chris might not feel that way, with all this talk of getting a spot. I can see you don't know who Gene Albrecht is. He's been around since Chris was wearing diapers and beating good players too. Even though we never played (at least as far as I can remember), I've known about him for eons. And caught his act more than once or twice as well. Gene is no lightweight sucker, who Chris will roll over.

If they play it will be a good match, and definitely not the heist that you're alluding too. All I'm trying to say is that Gene is a thoroughbred. He didn't get his rep by hiding in the weeds all these years. Maybe he's an old horse, but he can still run! :)

My memory of Players in MN. Wis. North and South Dakota

I want no part of this rant but- In years gone by when ( A real Player came by- Danny Bas---. Jimmy didn't play! There was only one player that stood up to play. And Lee did play perfect Pool ,the first set- won the cheap sets. Then his backer went to the health club,Leaving Lee ,no money to play with. The rail won the first bets and disappeared(took the cash and ran.) Game over. I actually took the boys to the gas station and used a credit card for there car- all they had was 10,000. in cash, with no stations open here. Lee today plays the same or better with out any Practice - similar to what Bartrum states- (needs 4 days to warm up). We have been known as a tournament state for what reason I ask you?? I think the players here are smarter than most states- but are not hustlers! High stakes gambling ,when you have a job and family is 20. bucks a rack nine ball. and a max of 100-200. sets and they do not play against themselves. I'd rather have a cue collection ,watch the Pro's play- and Play on the specials all day,everyday- Wasn't Pool suppost to be a gentleman game. If you wish to rob someone use a gun, knife, its faster, and you will get the cash not stiffed. Mark

not sure what this post is for?

not sure what this post is for?

I tried to read some of his posts for a while and then realized that every post he makes is barely legible. I have yet to understand one thing he has posted so I just skip over any post he makes.

I am not hating on you Hollywood, in fact if we ever meet I wouldn't mind trying a little of that smoke (has to be the best ever).

hello - I predict- blow out-

pm's sent to Chris and ktown. This is how I roll- everybody goes to the right in a circle- and I'll walk down the middle to the left- just for the fun of it. I do what I want whenever I want-24-7. Most people never understand what the city's are like other than out the back door. (or 50 mile radius) My wife now but Girlfriend for 20 yrs- has let me fly the airways for free- and all the money I bring is for spending purposes only- or 8 bucks a day to park the rental at the Free hotel- Last yr alone
England , Paris, Amsterdam and all cities in between. And of course 10 days in Hawaii for the womens surfing championships. Deep sea fishing, snorkeling, looking for curly Koa to bring home. Ivory. Always have to see aki and Brian in Hawaii. I go to cue makers shops- and have for over 20 yrs.retired at 37 something I'm 52 now. wishing you al the best for New Years. I hate to disagree with the locals but Geno can't win- even up- and I don't want to here 1 word of a spot for 5,-10 thousand. mark

No, I have never heard of him, Jay, but that isn't saying much. I'll take your word for it that he is a player. I wish him the best. Do I think he will play Chris "even" now, or three months from now? No. But what do I know? I'd never even heard of him before.

Wow, I rarely chime in on any posts. But.... What the F**K let these two guys make a F**king game in peace. All you players with your input, how about putting up and making YOUR game or let them do their thing.

I read all 8 pages of this, and I can't that time in my life back, so I decided to post something. This thread was like I am back in grammar school.

Believe it or not, you can understand Hollywood when he speaks in person...sometimes you just don't want to hear it. Just kidding Mark!
