If only people had listened to that, nobody would have been sent to the penalty box. I admittedly couldn't follow this whole thread, but I couldn't see why av84fun was bounced, seems to me the worse he did was to bore everybody.

I haven't replied to may of your posts, but will chime in on what has transpired here.

I, like you, have donated money to the sport of pool. In my case, it was a very significant amounts. Part of this included the resurection and sponsoring of the world straight pool championships. After a few years of pure donations, and the grief I recieved from the do nothing railbirds unfortunately associated with the sport of pool, I have resolved to no longer give any money to the sport.

Sadly, I feel the majority of fans and players don't deserve a legitimate product.

Regardless of how you come off to some readers, your intentions, wholesome or not, should not be up for scrutiny, as long as you seek no monetary gains. I have NO DOUBT IN MY MIND, you to will be driven away from this sport too.

Eventually, you too will pick up a cue when you can to play, and no longer give the "state of pool" another thought.

The sooner you arrive at that decision, the sooner you will again enjoy your time around the game again.

as far as av84fun, wow, he just won't learn. He has only been back a month or 2, before being banned, again.

His first ban was supposed to be of the lifetime variety. It was reduced to one full year. I hope this time the mods get it right. He really does have an awful history of arguing with everyone who disagrees with him.

Too bad it came to this. I just don't get all the vitriol on here about something that isn't all that important in the over all scheme of things. So many of the posts on this thread were just plain infantile. I'm kind of surprised it took Wilson as long as it did to intervene.

I mean c'mon people. Why does anyone really care so much what Fatboy does with his money? And who cares if he tells us or not. I'm much more interested in what I do with MY money!

If Fatboy wants to help TAR, then that's fine with me. And if someone on here doesn't buy TAR's feed, that's fine with me too. Hey, everyone on here doesn't buy Accu-Stats DVD's either. As far as I'm concerned you can spend (or not spend) your money any way you want. PERIOD! You can even buy drugs if you want. It's your life!

Bottom line, it's none of my business how you choose to spend your money. And it damn sure isn't your business how I spend mine. I also give to causes that are important to me, or move me in some way. I gave money to Obama's campaign and I may again. But if you don't like him, that's fine with me. I do!

Now getting back to TAR, which I think this thread was initially about. I happen to like what they are doing. I think it is a plus for pool to get to see some real live "action" between good players. They found a medium to bring a taste of this to those who enjoy it as much as I do. But it is not a perfect medium yet, by any means. Hey, I bought the first show (Corey vs. Shane) and never saw one shot.

Over time I believe the technology will improve and make feeds such as TAR's more accessible to more people. And when that happens, they will have been on the cutting edge. I hope they last that long and are able to continue doing their thing until then. I will continue to support their efforts as well.

I was involved in the broadcast's from Reno at the U.S. Bar Table. I got in the booth with Kenny Shuman and had a blast. It is so different then working on ESPN or SkySports. There is no censorship on the "net", unlike network television. I feel more liberty to speak my mind and hold nothing back. For those of you fortunate enough to see these shows, you got to see some great players on the small boxes. It doesn't get much better than Gabe and Hennessee going at it. Or Cliff, Parica and Ellerman either. They were battling all the way!

As far as the TAR guys go, they are pool enthusiasts first and foremost. And that makes them all right in my book. They wouldn't be doing this if they didn't have a love for the game. They worked long and hard to bring the feed to the few people who watched it. That's dedication! I saw what they were up to. When there were problems with the feed, they worked feverishly to fix it. And they truly were concerned with everyone's feedback.

They want to bring great pool into your home. It is a bargain considering that you have no travel expenses to see these matches. When you consider how much it costs to go to a tournament with air fare, hotel etc. etc., then all of a sudden $15 doesn't seem like much to see great matches LIVE!

I gave up a juicy poker tourney at the Peppermill to spend the day in the booth on Sunday. But it was worth it. I got to see some great matches (all went hill-hill!), and talk a little shit too.

I truly enjoy working with Justin and Chad. They have a love for the game that invigorates me. And Easye is a fun guy also. Even though he stiffed me for $10.

Damn Jay, I sent your money last month! Now I hope you DON'T get it Just kidding man. I got it (still can't believe I lost it in the first place), PM me with your paypal address. It was fun "working" with you this week.

Never arrogant or looks down his nose on those less fortunate than he. He is also very contrite when he makes a mistake or is misunderstood. He is unlike many of the noveau riche who need to feel so much better than others. I think his generosity is part of what he is made of. I dont think he will ever lose that.

i made this thread because these guys are my friends and I just wanted to encourage people to support them, they are out there busting their balls and losing $$$, They never offered a piece of the action as an investor, so I do other things for them, my dream is the same as theirs. What i dont want to see is guys talking about how great it was back in the day when we had TAR, meaning that if they dont get into the black sooner than later they are gonna disappear they cant keep losing $$$ and time., I dont work for free, I assume you work and get paid, would you go to work and pay who ever it is your working for? no, you get the $$$, well right now TAR isnt getting the $$$ to cover the production part of it let alone their personal expensis-they are working for a loss, and thats bull shit.

Well it looks to me like money isnt everything? Is it buying your health? Be honest with yourself because we all see what you are all about, glory and money. I think its cool you have given money to TAR if I had more than plenty like you and loved TAR so much and they were my good friends I would give them plenty to start off no strings attached and not let anyone know at all, that way you get no credit, but you are looking to get KNOWN and want to be looked up to, this is not the way, maybe its the only way you have and know to get friends?

How about honesty and integrity and genuine care, looking for nothing in return and no recognition.

How about not talking about all YOUR doe so much, who cares, when you die you aint taking it with you and I am sure it isnt buying you true happiness and love, obviously it doesnt keep you happy.

I do not want to be your enemy I am trying to open your eyes so you can see that your motivation in life is MONEY and GLORY.

There is much more to life than that. Can you look yourself in the mirror and be honest and say hey "I am a pretty nice guy" or when you look into the mirror do you see a creep, looking for an angle to make an extra buck, no matter how you get it and who you prey on to get it.....

Who said Fboy preys on people? The way I see it, people who get cash advances, etc, are self-destructive and will pawn whatever to get what they need regardless. I'm pretty sure he's not outside of his locations wearing camo and wielding a tazer, forcing people into the front door. That's a legit business. He's not preying because he gives someone an "out" with money situations. Think high interest isn't fair? No prob - there's a bank down the street. Can't get a real loan? Pay your bills on time.

I personally think Fatboy is a character and someone pool desperately needs. Someone who instigates and "gets it going." I'd much rather hang in a poolroom surrounded by Fatboy's than "pretty nice guys."

Don't know about anyone else, but it took me a few days to get my adrenaline back down to a normal level after the DCC Tooth incident. Anyone who bashes him for that is probably secretly resentful that they didn't have the means to pull a move like that.
