The truth about where I was.

I had a few people PM and ask me where I went so here goes.

For those of you who don't know I had some serious health problems a few years back, my colon ruptured from a fistula and nearly killed me (actually did die for a few minutes) then later had a stroke and a heart attack while in the hospital. Endured about a dozen procedures and surgeries and was in the hospital for about a year on and off then in home care for a long time.

Still dealing with health issues but thanking God every day for the air I breathe.

That's one of the reasons I haven't been on the boards for a long time. I pretty much quit the game while my health has recovering.

good to be back.

That doesn't sound like fun. Hope you stick around. You can at least read posts and watch some tar streams.

So sorry to hear about that. I know how difficult it must be to face each day with that heavy load. I hope the coming days bring you strength and happiness and good health. Bless you and yours!

That sounds like a lot to go thru all at once.
Glad you're still on the right side of the lawn and with us.
Enjoy the rest of your life Bud. Its even more special now.

Good Luck

My friend went through a very similar experience. His second run was a heart attack instead of stroke, You have been down a long hard road. My best to you.

Almost 2 years to the day I got sick and went into a coma.

The road of recovery from death to slightly more than a walking zombie,
takes its toll on our mind and body.

I am glad you are doing better.

May God bless you, Bigshooter. Glad to have you back on AZB. It sure is nice to be able to go on AZB and enjoy yourself. Thanks for sharing with us. May you have a speedy recovery!
Many Regards,

It's about time you checked in. We've been worried sick. No calls, no letters. Not even a freakin' post card. Sheesh!

One day at a time, my friend, I know what you're going through (except for the colon). I've had two by-pass surgeries, and I just got my fourth stent installed three months ago.
As my sainted Grandmother used to say, "Count your blessings."

That sure is a lot to be dealing with.

Hang in there and glad to have you back posting.

Hopefully, you'll gradually be able to get your game back on and until then, yes, absolutely, enjoy your family, friends and even the air we breathe.

best,
brian kc

I had a heart attack at age 35 (a mild one), I can't imagine going through all the other stuff that you had to endure.....and at the same time!

Your obviously one tuff bird! I hope your able to get back to doing the things you love soon.
