Vette also makes over $100,000 a year and didn't get caught trafficking 61 pounds of drugs, but you are right, I'm the stupid one.

Yes you are, I'm glad you finally admit it. Anyone with a slight bit of intelligence figured this point out a long time ago. 61 pounds of pot? You know how many people that could kill? ZERO! Unless you dropped it on somebodies head. Vette how many times have you got drunk and driven your car? Do I remember correctly that you have a DUI on your record? And that you like to speed? You've endangered many more lives than Tony ever has selling 61 pounds of pot. And he has not be convicted yet and there are reports that he was setup doing this and he didn't have a history of doing this prior.

So why don't you come down off your self-appointed high horse. No one cares that you make over 100K sitting on your ass selling cars. Whippy-f'n-do! And the fact that you like to repeat this fact numerous times only makes you seem insecure and in need of validation. And also, you saying it in 3rd person makes it that much more annoying.

huh? I never promised you anything. I said in jest one time that I would give JAM $1000 to stop posting just to see if she would take it. Are you one in the same?

I also have no squawks with you and have only said good things about you.

Seeing so you need to have all the information about Tony in Galveston, it's very simple. He didn't get in till 7:30 that morning after playing Billy. The people that he was with didn't wake him up, and he didn't hear the alarm. Believe me, considering his bracket, I think it was one of the stupidest things you could possibly do. He should have just stayed up until 9 o'clock and played his match. That's his own fault.

However, I've gambled all night lots of times and done the same thing.

If you don't think it's me writing this, I'm on Full Tilt right now as Cosmo1021. You bring this over there and carry it further if you want. Meanwhile, I've gotta game to play. I just had Jack-10, flopped 3 jacks, got no action. So how's your day? Is your day okay?

Earthquake out.

thank you, finally an answer by someone to the initial question I asked and you also feel it is a stupid thing to do just as me.

End thread.

Vette could care less what an Obama supporter thinks about anything. Maybe you should help him smoke or peddle all of that pot since you see nothing wrong with it. Also, it was pot AND cocaine.

DeadPoked shakes his head and laughs to himself at how weak that response was. Thinks better to himself than to argue any further with such a fool for fear an onlooker may not be able to tell the difference.

hate it when this happens!

Maybe someone can clarify some of this for me. If I'm reading correctly, Tony gambled with Billy and lost 10 dimes and then forfeited his match the next day in the one pocket which carries a 15K first place prize?

lmao. wow, just simply wow.

This guy is about to spend some serious time in jail and has a kid, wife/girlfriend etc..to take care of and does this. Someone please tell me that this info. is incorrect because I fail to believe that anyone can be so stupid.

I hate it when this happens! I'm agreeing with fatboy. I paid the entries for a pro who is at Galveston. My suggestion was that he not get caught up in late night gambling for small stakes. If the stakes were worth more than he was likely to win in the event, go for it!

A shot at ten dimes one on one is a lot better than Tony's odds of making ten dimes against the field in the One Pocket event. I'm sure Tony didn't plan to sleep through his match the next morning but "stuff" happens. He might have lost it anyway, no sleep or very little sleep can do that to you.

Tony and all of us are grown men. We make our own decisions good and bad. I can't see that gambling for $10K was a bad decision for a man that makes much of his income gambling. You can't make money gambling without risking money. I'm sure he liked the game when he started.

Reminds me of a comment I read in the Efren/Earl chat

Someone made the comment along the lines of .... "Wow, Earl opened his mouth and stupid sh1t came out" This thread reminded me of that.

Can't say I didn't anticipate this thread being started by you. More surprised it took you so long.

Just curious, have you hooked up with Tony and any backers he might have, to let them all know that your officially his mother now and will be taking over all of his affairs and you will determine what is best for him and any of his family or significant others, from here on out?

Everyone has the right to speak on a forum, as they see fit. Maybe someday you will reach a level of maturity, where you will look back on your infatuations with certain people and wonder why the hell you ever went that route. I say Maybe, because I have known some that never reach that level, they unfortunately are stuck at a adolescent maturity, even when their in their 50's. Sad, but true.

So, I will leave you to re-read the original post, which does have a "stalkish" feel to it, and also some common sense replies that I agree with. I apologize to the original posters, I have shortened some quotes for brevity.

Good luck with your "growth"

I respect that for whatever reason you have a special hard on for Tony

you SERIOUSLY need a hobby... You've been ragging on Tony for months but always excuse it by saying things like "You are probably right though, I'm the bad guy in all this. I mean, I go to work everyday and DON'T peddle 61 pounds of illegal drugs. " The dude messed up... we get it

No Kidding! Seems like some folks have already found him guilty and think he should just skip the trial and go straight to jail. I'm amazed at how much joy some people find in pointing out others mistakes and problems. Personally, I don't think I'm in a position to judge ANYONE! and I try not to. Was it dumb? no question about it. Is he guilty? not yet anyway!

and "Professional" or not, if the man want's to forfeit and it's his money on the line, I say let him. It's certainly not my money so why should I or anyone else care? If you bought him in the player auction or paid his entry fees I could understand, but if not, I don't think it's really any of our business what he does or doesn't do. IMO

don't mean to be an ass, I'm just tired of people that think Tony somehow owes them an apology or explanation

This has been done to death and for whatever reason you have picked Tony out of all the guys out there to focus on. Which is fine I guess but it does look a little stalkerish. For all you know he could of snapped off someone else for that $15,000 or made a score in a poker game or turned into a pumpkin. You and no one else here as of yet knows.

No one here knows for sure what is going on with Tony or his case or his life. But alas I realize that this is the internet and all logic is left at the door. So rock on.

now that's a GOOD question

I've wondered myself what he's doing. He's gotta know people are probably not too happy with him. I'm thinking Witness Protection Program...perhaps he's a florist in Butte Montana going by the name of Pat.

Why hasn't anyone asked if Durbin is there? Or how is his health? The bigger crime is the rat....

What an intelligent comeback. I make 472 billion dollars a year. SO WHAT, WHO CARES IF YOU MAKE 100,000 A YEAR. There are plenty of people who make less that live a very good life.

thanks for your input. I'm trying very hard to gain maturity and through the insight and knowledge of people like yourself I feel that I may one day reach that level.

did you even look at the context it was in? It was in response to the guy saying it was foolish of me to lose $1200 and I should look out for my family. Please look and comprehend the prose before you speak.

Won't someone please think about the tournament promotors?

All personal vendettas aside, (Really, please, let it go. Don't make me have to come over there.) the subject has come up many times and it seems to me that there are no almost good excuses for Pro players in Pro tournament to forfeit.

The promotors of a Pro tournament put time, money and effort into their production and if the players don't actually bother turning up for the matches the paying audience and sponsors get upset and this jeopardizes the entire event. (I'm talking just in general principle here BTW, I'm still reserving judgment on this particular event until the players actually have been paid out and the guaranteed added monies are proven to be both guaranteed and actually added. All bets are off until then.)

Whilst none of us can live someone else's life for them or should be making purely personal judgments, both those of us who are players and the rest of us who are merely observers all have a stake in seeing Professional Pool grow and thrive in the USA. This continual laissez-fare attitude about doing the ONE THING any Professional in any sport is actually expected to do without fail is honestly not helping anyone.

IMHO If a player wants to make a "Pro" living they should start living like a "Pro" player.

I see your point and agree to a certain extent. The issue is that the goal of any "Pro" at anything is to make money. That is what being a pro means. If a guy goes to a tournament and sees a better opportunity to make money than playing in a tournament match then he should be free to do so. He should also be willing to take the heat that comes with that decision but he is free to make it.

If he signs a deal or there are stipulations going into the event (like most professional sports) then it is a whole different ball game. Pool for the most part is not that ball game. Right or wrong it is about the money. A real pro organization would fix this but we all know how successful the men have been with that one.

Would Tiger ditch the third round to play Michael Jordan some $50,000 a hole golf? No. But that is because he is subject to sanctions from his sponsors and competitive organization. Neither of which exist in pool on any similar level. Plus Eldrik doesn't need the money. That don't happen in pool either.

Not saying it is right just saying that is the way it is.

Lets not forget the real winner here:

Dave Faver ...who got a BYE into the final 8 winners side, when he should have faced TRex.

I have to agree with you 100%, tournament money is just sooo hard to take off in general anyway. Scott Frost didn't even cash and he would have been a pre tourney lock to cash. At least gambling you either get the money or you don't. Someone else put on here would you rather have a 50% chance at 10k or a 5% chance at 15k...I'd go for the 10k if I played that well too.

Good Post JCIN!!!

The real winner IMO is Shannon because he got to play Dave instead of possibly playing TC.
