YUP!.....the man has serious game! a friend of mine from the UK, and a VERY good snooker player said...."Tony Drago is my favorite player"... I now see why. I saw visions of Earl when Tony played. Fast, deadly accurate, and confident...what else do you need?!

I've watched him since his snooker days and always thought if he just slowed down a little bit he'd be 10x more successfull, but then again maybe that would just throw his game off completely

I've watched him play in a few tournaments on the net. I too thought he had to slow down to get any better at pool...but I was wrong. He said at the world 9-ball or Mosconi cup that he wanted to come to the USA to show people he could win tournaments. I tought he'd do well but not this well so fast. Congrats to him. Johnnyt
Take it easy on the comparisons to Earl.
Earl has something like 9 World and US Open nine ball titles and a billion regular events so Tony might yet have a way to go to match Earls career.
Tony plays great, seems like an awesome guy, and is great for the game, but he's not a Hall Of Famer quite yet in my book.

Yes,very well done by Tony,to take down a monster like Busty.Also congrats to Charlie for putting on a first class tourny.The field was unbelievable,as strong as the WPC.

I always believed that Tony D would win this one. From his days running with Jimmy White he has always been a clutch hitter. I even bet on him with my buddy Ktown who got me the last time when Hennessee played Scotty T. He graciously gave me 2 games but I always believed Tony could win the title. This has been the week of the Underdog. Alex,first, then OMGWTF and then Tony D. Congrats everyone.

I think that those of us who have seen Tony play snooker at the highest level for many years was not surprised.
The guy can play as good as anyone in the game, he is just as experienced as Bustamante, more used to the big stage than almost any pool player and, of course, generally a great shotmaker.
He's only fault is that he sometimes lack a cool temperament when in a final or so. When he's got his head screwed on right like most times this season, he's got to be rated as one of the favourites to win any tournament.

Gopi-1: I also believe it would be a different match if the chairs was put apart. As it was now it encouraged Drago to talk, smile and laugh when the referee was racking, and it is not something Django is used too.
Imagine if it was Keith McCready and Tony Drago in the final, what a show it would have been. They would spend most time in the chair telling jokes to eachother
I like his style,i like to watch fast players like him,McCready,and Earl,these guys are the ones who are good for tv.
