There arw certainly situations in which it is a necessity, but coz soebody claims it is a move...tuff shits.

You know what i thing is a total move? When i play those dix in tournaments and the only time i ever get to shoot, i am kicking or at best, jacked up over another ball. Thats fughhed up

Dont have that kind of money and not really a gambling man anyway. I think you would have to agree that the odds of him winning this match are a lot higher than they were yesterday morning.
 
A few days ago a lot of people were saying the same thing about how Tony has no chance. I wouldn't count him out.

Its a common move to slow the rate of play. At this level since Dennis is " best " in the world you would think he would shoot at a normal pace.

Its no fun playing slow players notwithstanding the fact that these guys have a 100 K in the middle and are playing a race to 40.

In Chess they have clocks so each player has an equal amount of time. This match needed a shot clock.
 
Dennis does certainly slow play people on purpose to get them irritated and out of rhythm. I expect him to do so even worse tonight .

You are gonna see what you want, but i can assure you that he played the same pace every time i watched him play in VA against scrubs like me too.
 
New cue

Does anyone know exactly when Dennis switched to the new meucci cue? If it was particularly recent that would explain some of the very uncharacteristic mistakes he made those first two days.

Thats it. I am buyin a stopwatch and mailing it to mike so elapsed time can be measured and documented.

I am going bike riding at the ass crack of dawn, so i cant do it.

This is not a good excuse as he was using the same cue when he won the one-pocket tournament just a week ago.

I am surprised at this level they are allowing Dennis to shoot this slow. This is supposed to be the top drawer talent in the game. At this level you should know what shots to take.

I am surprised Tony agreed to play without a shot clock. What if since Dennis is taking all day to shoot Tony started taking twice as long. The match would be ridiculous.

Dennis has a reputation for gamesmanship in matches. I remember a while ago he committed a foul where he hit the wrong ball first and said "I am used to a ref calling those things" as to the reason he did not call the foul himself.

One of a few pros I would not want to play with due to their reputation.
 
Dennis has also repeatedly sharked Tony by interrupting his shot to fiddle with/move around balls in the ball return.

The dancing after Tony scratched was pretty brazen.
Dennis is immune to sharking like most Filipinos b/c the action rooms there is like cockfighting arenas.
People yelling bets every game. People moving and talking while they are shooting.
Never mind the roosters in the rafters and tuktuk revving outside.

The fact is slowing the game down big time is a move. It should not be allowed in a sport period. I am surprised they are allowing it to happen in this mega match.

They should utilize a shot clock for today's part of the match. Better late than never. Keep in mind this is America not the Philippines.
