Top 6 bar table players

please take some time and answer this to the best of your ability! name the top 6 bar table players in the usa! i want everybody that reads this to answer! the TOP 6 BAR TABLE PLAYERS and keep in mind its in 8 ball 9 ball and 10 ball! please give it some thought and answer with care!:D
Here are my picks with a little justification:
SVB (nuff said)
Dave Matlock (when he's playing good on a bar table you've just never seen anything like it)
Jason Kirkwood (I don't recall to many people overly anxious to gamble with him on a small table)
James Baraks (very consistant and a great break and I seem to recall him winning the last big ring game or two he was in)
Jesse Bowman (insane gear, capable of stringing lots of racks in a very short amount of time from nowhere)
My sixth choice gets a little tough because there really are so many good bar table players out there but I'm going to go with James Walden (he's won a lot of danny and evelyn's mid-west tour tournaments, he finished 4th at the olathe ring game and he's a great grinder)

Side note: My choices are also meant to reflect people that I know have been actively playing on the bar table over the past year.

This probably won't betoo poular, but I'm not sure Matlock is going to be there anymore or that he even wants to be. I think the IPT ordeal really deflated David as he really put a lot of effort into that and it brokehis heart. It pains me to say it as I was oneof the biggest Matlock fans on the planet.

There is another up and comer from the KC area too named James Barracks Jr. This guy isonly 19 and breaks like Tarzan.
I think maybe you mean Mikey Banks, jr.
Mikey does play really good (he got 2nd to Shane McMinn in the Olathe Shootout, but he's not quite to the level of the guys being listed here...not yet anyways) ;)

James Baraks is living in Iowa I believe and he's in his mid-30s...he also has an insane break and is capable of winning any bar table tournament. He plays pretty sport on the big table too...he finished 2nd to Efren at Louisville I believe it was 2 years ago in the 9-ball tournament.

1- SVB

2- James Walden

3- Jesse Bowman

4- Bobby Pickle

5- Stevie Moore

6- Dave Matlock (sentimental favorite).

If I had to pick:

SVB
Corey
Larry Nevel
Johnny Archer
Stevie Moore
David Matlock

I have a question about Bowman: his name always comes up as being one of the best on a bar table, but I've never heard anyone says he's very good on a 9-footer. If he's so good on a small table, he should be really good on a big table, too, right? Does he lose the ability to make a ball from more than 4 feet away or something? My other question is, who has he beaten, playing even? The fact that he's never mentioned as a contender on a big table makes me wonder if his bar table prowess is greatly exaggerated, so I'd be interested to hear his credentials if anyone knows them.

SVB
Larry Nevel - monster breaker
Chad Vilmont- played perfect all 4 times i've seen him play
Jesse Bowman
Jon Hennessee
Bobby Pickle
If we are talking about bar table specialist that are currently in action.
I don't think Cory plays much on a bar box. I have heard Matlock isn't playing much. Stevie has been practicing on the 9 ft's. I think Chris Bartrum is deserving to be on the list. Cliff Joyner has beat most everyone that has been mentioned at one time or another. Too many good players to pick from that's the problem.

You are exactly right. I stand corrected.

Bowman plays pretty good 1P on the big table from what I've heard. Beat Jimmy Wetch a few sets giving 9-7 a few months ago.

SVB...he wins everywhere, everything on all equipment. Gotta love this guy for his gift
Bowman
Baraks
Moore
Dalton
Clatterback<he CAN play>

Honorable mentions <yeah, it could be long...too bad>
Buddy Hall
Danny Medina
Keither with the Ether
Jay Swanson
Gary Pinkowski...winner of the first Miller Lite Tavern Pool Championship
and a lesser known name, Russ Edwards

I'm surprised that noone has mentioned John Schmidt. I have seen him go through over 100 players UNDEFEATED in race to nine 9 ball on the barboxes, including many of the names mentioned so far in this thread.

Doug
( I'd take him in the calcutta........... if you high rollers don't outbid me ) :)

* Previous to his current health problems, Buddy Hall was always a threat in any barbox tournament (as recent as a year ago)

John Schmidt

John plays great on any table, but especially the bar box. In Mobile last year, my wife saw John play and had to come talk to me during my match. She said, "I mean, I've seen good pool before; but this guy, John Schmidt, just doesn't miss." I'm like, thanks honey, now let me go 2 and out in this tournament so we can get some dinner.

Matlock should be on the top of anyone's list.

With the BIG BALL ONLY Matlock, Ether also has fun with it. And the old Goose gave it a go.

svb
J.bowman
nevel
josh johnson
boby mcgrath
hennese

How about that Bowman SVB match wow 53 total games with only 3 balls missed total by both players 1 by Bowman 2 by SVB. It was deffinatly fun to watch It was Bowmans 1st time back on a bar box in 6 months not to shaby.

Not sure where you heard this from but it's absolutely not true. They played almost exactly 2 years ago even with Jesse finishing up 6 games. 2 months later they played an ahead set even in Olathe which Jimmy won. They have not played since.

I see what you're up too, Big Nasty.

This should be your ring game... maybe not the best, but it will be the most entertaining!

SVB
Walden
Matlock
McCready
Townsend
Nevel

Make this happen and you can charge $100 a day and I'll still be watching.

This would be my list too. Townsend def needs to be on.

Brian White
Waffle House Kevin
Earl Burton
Black Rob
Worm Cantrell
Lewis Mcdaniel

In no particular order
