Blackjack, thanks for starting this thread. I just wanted to add Jerry "Bulldog" Howard, from Detroit. He was quite the entertaining character and a true legend, who lived to be 89 years old. He was known as one of the best hustlers ever, and a great person to know. He will be missed by all who knew him.
 
I loved the Dog. He wrote me messages when I was sick and in a trying time in my life. He was a real one of a kiner. I loved the Rude one. Man the good die young.
I hope his wife is doing well.

I agree, Bill. This forum just hasn't been the same without OHB. He was a hell of a player and one hell of a man. I still smile at his magnets that I have on my fridge.

NO DOUBT. Tom was extremely knowledable and a funny guy to boot. I still laugh when I think about the Rhino Foreskin tips :D
 
Steve Knight Colorado Springs

There was an English guy that I occasionally played in Miscues when Tom and Karen Tallent owned the place. He always came in with a one piece house cue with a skinny shaft and the slightest piece of leather for a tip. Played real good. Was told he was sent back to england because his visa expired.

I believe that was the guy. He played with a snooker cue if I remember right. Very good player. Thanks!

FWIW, I gave em the exit 8 and busted em at Sticks, and never saw em in the springs after that, he didn't know his way around the 9' pocket tables.

Herb Wilmot? Geez, what happened there? I didnt know he had passed. He was really great when I was first playing on the tour. He had great advice, and really tried to help in any way he could to keep you playing your best.

He will be missed.....

You are so right as he didn't know his way around the 9 ft tales, but the guy surely could put some crazy balls down.

He was a funny, funny guy though. He just kept me in stitches with every utterance.
