Tuesday Open Thread: Sky v. Alex and Efren v. Jose

Things are heating up now, folks. Alex racks. Another cut break by Alex, and he makes 2 balls on the break. Both players are now consistent on their breaks. Alex makes a nice bank on the 2 in the side. HE MISSES THE 4 and LEAVES IT FOR SKY. OMG!

I'm not getting anythind done at work right now.

Bring it home Sky!!

Edit: I don't think I'm the only one bumping the f5 key every 20 seconds..

Sky makes the 4. The camera pans in on Alex's face, and Alex doesn't look happy. Skyler shooting the 6, makes it. He's got 3 balls left for the almighty win. Tic, tac, toe, SKy wins the match. Hip, hip, hooray!

WOW Strickland and Feijen both whitewashed their opponents. Feijen is coming back for Eberle with a vengeance!

Really appreciate the updates man. Wish I was home to see that match.

Yeah, it was a dandy.

Skylar outbroke Alex.
Alex had the better of the tactical warfare (defense/kicking)
Skylar played better shape than Alex

It was the third of these that surprised me, but Alex's position play was a bit shaky. The better man won for sure.

Thanks for the updates Jam.

I'm working today and doing a lot of driving but getting updates at every stop.

Will rep you later!! Nice play by play btw...

Gary

Well, obviously Sky's win over one of the best ever to hold a cue is a fluke. The kid is a bar table player, didnja know???

Congrats on a great win. I gotta root my KY boys on!

Can anybody clue me in on what's going on with the break?

I thought they were supposed to be putting the 9 on the spot but it sounds like they were putting the 1 on the spot based on the wing ball going in so often.

Did Jay change his mind on the break rules?

Thanks JAM for the updates. They were fun to read.

1 ball going in, not the wing ball. 9 is racked on the spot. Johnnyt

It was a fun match. I enjoyed it.

You know, both commentators said "wing ball again in the corner." I had trouble ascertaining which ball was which on my computer monitor. The 1-ball looked orange to me. I couldn't see how they were racking, either.
