As of today I am going unless something drastic changes..... Would love to say I am going to play but that won't be the case this year.... I will be in gopher mode so I'll be bouncing between the bracket room, the scorers table, the booth, and the production room...... I will also likely be driving the "Hall of Fame" mustang/taxi.... I had Ralf and Danny D both in the car at the same time coming back from QMasters in February

I'm not playing but this is the 10th year in a row attending. I go down on Thursday and stay until Sunday morning. I have a reserved seat in the TV arena, 2nd row, right behind one of the player seats and that ticket gives access to all the other tables, so it's a great deal. I've also got tickets to the HOF dinner, inducting Souqet and Diliberto.

I'm also playing at Q Masters several times; frankly I don't get more than about 4 hours sleep per night for the 4 days I'm there since the pool room is open 24/7. There are half a dozen players from Richmond playing in the event and I sweat their matches.

I'm also a member of the CCB on another site and a bunch of members of that site have a tournament on Friday morning over at Q Masters. This is the 10 year anniversary for that event, too. I make the trophies and we hang out and woof at each other for a few hours.

If anyone else is coming, please introduce yourself when you see me. My badge will have my name, Brian Keller

Brian in VA

The Mayor will be in attendance

Hi Guys! I will be heading down with Brian in VA this year doing pretty much the same, with the exception of the HoF dinner. Watching matches, sweating matches at Q-masters, woofing at my friends, drinking, cigars, drooling over cues, drinking, getting autographs, drinking ........wait; did I say that already. Anyway, I am taking Tony in MD's seats this year, near Brian's seats. Come find me. My name is Josh Dickerson.............aka The Mayor!

See you guys there.

I will making my first trip in ten years. It'll only be my third time at the Open so I don't have any preferred things to do. Looking forward to getting a bunch of autographs, something I haven't done in previous years. I have reserved seat, #60 in the Capone Cues section. I'll be there Wednesday through Saturday.
Will be making a few trips to Q-Masters, also;)
My wife will be coming but probably not attending the tournament.

US Open!

I've been going to the US Open for 20 years and I can't wait to go this year. I have a VIP seat on the first row (side view) of the TV table and I sit in that seat when there's a good match on the TV table. The VIP ticket lets me sit and watch matches all over the room as long as i'm not in someone else's reserved seat. I watch a lot of matches and I like to go to Q-masters to watch the action and play if I can find someone who wants to play. One of my best friends and I went to the US Open together for years, but he moved to NC and i've been going by myself since I don't have a good travelling buddy here anymore. We spent many hours at Q-masters during the US Open week and I learned a lot from him. I'll be there from Tuesday through Sunday morning.

I hope to meet some of the AZ members while i'm there this year.

James

I am there strictly as a spectator.
I enjoy watching Shane, Lee Van Corteza, Efren, Dennis Orcullo, Earl, Ralf Souquet, Corey, Ronnie Alcano, Ricky Yang.
My favorite is also the action at Q-Masters into the wee hours...there is nothing like it!

BTW Rich, if you see me say Hello...I am from Baltimore too.
Used to play at Running Out in the 90's when Tom was working (and Norman, Reds, Jerry and Stancliffe were regulars). Am I showing my age? LOL

Been there for about 25 years VIP seat, I like up about 3 or 4 rows so I can see better. We don't miss even 9/11 and the hurricane.

This is the first open I will be missing in a long time. Hurricane Irene was not nice to my house, so I had to bow out this year to keep up with the repairs that have to be made.

Mi nombre es Curtis
Je m'appelle Curtis
My name is Curtis...hehehe

I'll be there. My name is Romeo. Been at the open every year for like the last 10 years, with the exception of last year. I was in Afghanistan, making the Taliban pay with their lives!!!! Hahaha!!!! Army Strong! The Open is held in my hometown, and I grew up playing pool at Q-Masters, the old one and the newer one. Favorite thing to do is to hide out with all the other pinoy players. Live in SC now, so I look forward to seeing my friends from DC and MD. Yes, even you Curtis. HAHAHA. You got action, my brown brother! HAHA. Good luck everyone. See ya there.

open!

I'm hoping to make it there at least for a day or 2. This will be my 4th or maybe 5th time and its hard to beat all things considered. I hope to see some of you AZers there. I'll be wearing a hat, a T shirt and probably some jeans and running shoes. I'm definately not playing this year but hopefully will do some sweating. Mika's the favorite I guess. I'm looking for Earl to suprise some people this year!

Anyway it should be a good time for anyone thats into pool!

I was at qmasters last year,i think it was the night before the u.s open had started, the back room was filled with all kinds of players, but for about 2 hours nothing was going on,just a bunch of talking, and then walks in Dippy, you could of heard a coin hit the floor, well i dont think Dippy was there 1hour before he and alex had started to play 1pocket and then it looked like everybody started to gamble, nobody was doing nothing until Dippy came through the doors,Dippy really got the place going with just his apperance,i hope Dippy stays around the pool scene for ever, because no matter what some people say about him being shady or what ever,he is the money gambling man that knows how to get things started, and if he happens to be a little shady, well who isnt in the pool world(I KNOW THERE R A LOT OF VERY HONEST PEOPLE IN POOL ALSO),1 thing is for sure if Dippy walks in the pool hall doors, there will be action, weather u like it or not that is up to you!

Mike Howerton and I will be ensconced beside the Accu-Stats commentary box to do the live scoring and live brackets. Once again you will be able to watch the stream in one window and keep up to date on all of the scores on all of the tables updated every time a 9-ball falls in another window.

The brackets will show how your favorite players are doing and will allow you to predict who they will play next or who they may run into down the line.

Mike and I accept gifts of cheesecake (me) and Diet Mountain Dew (him). We will both accept any liposuction certificates you may have. :)

We look forward to seeing all you guys!! We will be there from day one until the bitter end.

Missing my first Open in 6 years. Relocated from NC to FL a month ago, and just too hectic with work and move to get away. I hope to make the DCC instead, and will be back to the Open next year.

I'll be there for the duration, slaving my butt off for coolies wages.
If you would like to make a donation to my favorite charity (me), I am always in need of a cup of hot tea with honey and lemon. Although a P, B & J sandwich is my second choice. Anything to keep me going!
