Don't take Tanner's comment the wrong way. He is one of our biggest supporters and he is really stepping up to help us out. He made the drive from South Dakota to be with us for this match. The kicker is that after making the trip he sat outside the match area manning our merchandise area and working the door. Tanner is the man.rzrbak98 said:I would gladly buy the ppv but i dont have 300 bites of download speed to recive the stream. I will buy the dvd when it comes out to support THR but if we cant see the stream because of the cpu, work, or whatever reason dont go off because we want to know the score. JMHO

We understand that not everyone can or wants to watch the match in the streaming format but does have an interest in the outcome. TAR has never and will never have a problem with people posting score updates or any other information about any of our events. Hell, if people were not interested in the score we would really be in trouble.
Thanks to all who tuned in and were able to be on site to watch the match. I look for the next 2 days to be much closer now that both players have had a day to get used to the conditions and enviroment of this unusual format.

I left Shooters at 5:30 AM and John Morra was hitting balls on the feature table. He said he would probably go to bed around 7 or 8. Justin played strong early and jumped out fast. John made a comeback in the middle stages of the first day but faded at the end. I look for day 2 to be much closer. John said that he just didnt feel comfortable but that he was confident that he would do much better over the remaining 2 days.
You hit the nail on the head. John hung some balls and was coming short on position while Justin looked completely comfortable. Justin did by his own admission get a little weak at the end but overall was much more relaxed. John knows and understands what happened and seems to be at ease and understands that there is a whole lot of pool left to be played. He broke better than Justin but that did not make up for the unforced errors. I wouldnt count him out yet but he has a long road.jay helfert said:Looks bad for the home side again.![]()
From what I heard Justin was loose as a goose and John was tight and uncomfortable. Now, I'm glad I didn't go. I would have probably emptied out on John.![]()

I think if he can get out tomorrow only trailing by 5 or 6 games he will still have a shot. I heard a story that Scooter asked Justin to bet a dime that Morra would get to 60 first and Justin just walked away. I didn't see it and I can't say that I even believe it but if true it is possible Justin still has a healthy respect for John's game even after a pretty dominating first day.
One thing I believe without reservation is that these 2 young lions are outstanding examples of the next generation of professional pool players. Both showed great poise and carried themselves very well from the start of this whole endeavor. It is a pleasure to watch them play and to work with them.
