USPPA Reno players, did they get paid?

What will be the qualifications if any to play in this new Reno haddicap event? The USPPA required so many tournaments to be played for a player to be qualified to play in Reno tournament event.

Those qualifications need to be posted early.

Everyone will be eligible to play (unless they are currently banned from participating in a CSI or WorldPPA event). There is no minimum qualification of play dates required. Ratings will be assigned to players that have never played in a WorldPPA event. These ratings will be a best guess based on information we know or don't know. Ratings will be subject to change if its obvious an adjustment needs to be made. There will be no membership fee to participate in this event.

Associating with the USPPA is the last thing I would want to do. Your grasping at straws to say that because there are 9' tables in Reno there is a connection. Why not say pool balls will be used on Simonis cloth as in the Reno tournament?

All I said was that this thread is related to the USPPA thread because so many of the players are the same people now playing in the World PPA.

Most of the players are requesting a return of 9' events in Reno - we are trying to accomplish that. if you think we are making any money on 9' tables, please think again. This is to help promote pool. You are more than welcome to assist.

Your statements are misleading and just creating confusion. I think it is obvious there are more things in common than 9' tables being in Reno. I would appreciate you just allowing us to promote this event and try to revive pool in Reno. This has NOTHING to do with USPPA or ANNIGONI.

Love to---though I'm not sure what that has to do with any of this. It's great to see Bob and Mark putting together a big table 9-ball event that will interest the former USPPA enthusiasts. Looking forward to spreading the word.

Hi Dave,
Thank you for spreading the word. It would be very cool if Rackem was doing weekly WorldPPA tournaments.
Thanks, Bob

I think that would be cool also. I've been checking out your website, and making a list of questions:smile: Lots of familiar names, which is great to see. Hopefully, I'll be contacting you soon to get started. Congrats on your system and the upcoming tournament.

Annigoni ran off with our hard earned cash!

Annigoni denied going on camera to tell the truth on what happened to our money. Next step, see you and all involved in court.

what?

Annigoni denied going on camera to tell the truth on what happened to our money. Next step, see you and all involved in court.

After all this time has passed, is there really any hope of ever getting paid?
Like Judge Judy always says, why did you wait this long?

Jeff, I really hope that somehow you can nail Mr. Slimeball and get your money.

He should at least pay you with cues he probably has or some tables from his pool room.

What a F_ing rat!

Wishing you all the best Jeff!!!!

One Pocket Anyone!!!

Mark, U have done it once again by bringing the wonderful Bar Table Championships 2 Reno.
Many kudos to you and all your staff for putting such a nice event together.
I will miss the Sands however Mark has once again showed his incredible savvy by having the Grand Sierra host the event.
All this being said, we all know how hard Mark works at making these events possible.

Only a few short months ago we had another great One Pocket and Nine Ball event at Hardtimes in Sacramento.

I 4 one would love to play in a One Pocket event in Reno on those nice Diamond 9' tables.

I'm hoping that other " Pocket A Piece " players will make contact with Mark and bend his ear just a bit so that those 9' tables won't sit idle for the first four or five days.

Perhaps Jay have some additional imput to add here !!!

Best 2 All,
Noel

Noel,

We WILL be playing some one pocket on the 9' tables that will be in Reno.

It will probably be single elimination events.

I would like to see one pocket - 8-ball - and maybe even some bonk pool.

Low entry fees and finish in one night.

That way we can do another one the next night.

A lot of this will be dependent on the players - since we have the tables, we will do whatever the players want to play!

Hope to see you there.

Bring On The "Banks"

Hello Mark,

Sounds delightful having mini events that last only a day !

Mark, U are right on the money when it comes to keeping the fees
low so that many of the novice players may get their feet wet against
the top notch players who are sure to show up and play after completing
their bar table matches.

Mark, I'm also looking forward to playing some banks as they are my favorite shots. U C Mark, I got addicted to them after watching Eddie Taylor play in the US Open One Pocket in San Francisco in 61 !!!

Who knows perhaps John Brumback will show up.....

C U there Mark !!

Haven't read through this thread, but can someone please give me a quick summary.

Did they get paid? In full? What is status now, and why is this thread still a sticky?

Roy,

They did NOT get paid.
Annigoni has been non responsive to everyone.

I think it is a sticky because of what he did and how he did it.

I also like to think that with the World PPA combining up with CSI and our US Bar Table Championship - we will have 9' tables in Reno.

It might let everyone know to support the new event, and venue.

It should be a decetn event and with suppot, can only grow.

In A Nutshell !

Hey Roy,

The last I heard is that many of the players have'nt seen a nickle in
over a year now.

A Bump 4 Mark

Say Mark,

Like U said the Reno event will B great and I'm looking forward to
playing in some of the mini's.

My hats off 2 U for being so involved with the game that many of us
love.

PS Mark, same some of those tables 4 us Bank Players!
