Look up his last posts on here and you can see for yourself. I actually did believe him and while it's honorable to warn the players the Scorched Earth approach is never good when you're on the bridge. I look at it from a business perspective even though I love pool. He's been quite calm (on FB) since he ended up getting himself banned from here.

I get what your saying.I know Lee was not the favorite by far in
that match but to put it out there that you got ripped before the match and
couldn't see is pretty dumb if your looking for a excuse.
I know Lee,not to in depth but know him well enough to believe he could
of thought of a better thing to say,knowing the people that supported him
would read it.
I do agree that talking bad about somebody sucks,but in this case its

Lee should have used the ole "I got abducted by aliens" excuse, it's a much better way to save face AND make your backers happy. I have to agree with Truck on this one. Pool players have more excuses and bigger ego's than fishermen and golfers. I gave a well known player 200 to play in a ring game a few months back and a few hours after they quit I asked him how he came out, and naturally he claimed they ran out from everywhere, in a bank ring game at that. Of course, I didn't tell him I watched him miss several dead cross side banks, what was the point? I don't believe in twisting the knife when someone is down, unless they have shown themselves to be the bottom of the barrel in the pool world. I don't think Lee would fit in that group from what I've seen. I know of several that do though.

If Lee said having a hangover was his excuse for losing to Mike D. then it was the worst cover EVER. Sorry when you're being staked by a corporation made up of the world's most vocal pool nuts you don't tell them you lost because you got drunk.

Saying you need to be staked because you're broke and then getting sniped playing PaiGow at 530am isn't the best idea ever.
On that all I can say is that when he asked to be staked he was probably broke. In vegas fortunes can change quickly. I have been pretty much broke out there and been scooped up with someone who is partying and had them throw me chips and tell me to go gamble. I had a guy interested in a case and when I saw him next I asked him if he wanted it and he said he went broke at the tables. Then two days later he comes in tells me he is 15 grand ahead and buys the case.
I had a similar thing happen with a decently sized case order. Pool room owner places it and then the very next day he comes and cancels it telling me he lost at the tables. (He later placed an even bigger one)
So I don't hold it against Lee if he was playing the tables. I mean to me he asked for a stake into the 10 ball event and got that. I don't know if he got any more than that and if so for what that money was slated for. To me if he got the entry fee then that's what he was obligated to play in to satisfy the backers. Anything he does outside of that is his business.
I remember when there was a wheelchair championship and one of the participants who ended up winning it had hit a Royal Flush in Pai Gow the night before I think and won something like $50k. I am sure someone will remember this story, the guy's name was Ketih something I think.
All I am saying is that it's entirely possible that Lee borrowed money and was able to run it up at the tables. No idea so that really shouldn't count against him IMO.
Being broke and homeless in Vegas because your employer can't come up with the money to pay you now that sucks ass. My thought on this is it's strange that no one out of all the Bonus Ball folks has a couch for Lee to camp on. Bad Juju there.
When I was doing pro high diving most of the time a bunch of us would rent an apartment and shack up 5-6 to a place and the rookies got the couch or the air mattresses. I would have thought for sure that Lee would be sharing a place with fellow Bonus Ball folks.
This above probably tells you a lot about the situation. We know he's not too proud to ask for a handout......
I've had personal issues with Lee on a few occasions, we've heard of the fight with Darren, we see nobody offers him a place to stay, we've seen other members on here give him a hand and then want nothing to do with him.
At this point, I think we need to start looking at the actual problem rather then say 'poor Lee' for a few more months. The guy can't even come on here and apologize for being a drunken idiot. He knows the golden goose is gone and its not beneficial (for his pocket) to post here any more.
Worry about your own life, and get a life!! instead of making smart ass comments about mine all the time....

To be fair Lee was at the same bar as me (and a large number of other players who had to play the next day) and I even bought Lee a drink. We were all drunk. I'm expected to get drunk, I'm not a pro player only a pro drinker. But there were several pros drinking with us that happened to win the next morning.
I have been training for a decade. Hope to get down with you some day, but you might need to give up a +spot.
