Very pissed!!

Trade-In

I've got an idea.

Send them back the sneaky, kick in another 20-bucks and step up to the Crimson Destroyer.

I hope you were not waiting to post how your $30 was just as good as a $300- $3000 custom, were you?

Come on man, you couldn't have been expecting anything more than what you got, regardless of the description. $30 cues as described just don't exist, you knew better.

Hey, look at it this way, he could have described it as a world champion cue, charged you $300, and never sent it to you.

.

Wow you knew my plan all along, Oh well looks like Im gonna have to pony up and pay $40 for a cue that hits just as good as any $3000 custom. I would also like a dvd re-winder and ocean front property in Utah.

$30 cue

I mean cmon, your actually really pissed at them? Not yourself?

This is like buying $10 pool balls and being pissed at the seller because they roll funny.

Or a $100 table at Sears and being pissed at them because it is never level.

I know I shouldn't bring this up in a thread where the OP is getting ridiculed for expecting a cue that cost $30 to be more than he expected, but..........I've said in many threads before that I have THREE Rage cues in my home wall rack that were $27 apiece and I have run racks with all three of them. All three are perfectly straight. All three I've owned and regularly used for about four years now. All three have no quality issues. Shaft wood so-so on two of them, decent on the other. The hit of each one of them is not what I get out of my Jacoby (of course!), but for the price, I think I have MORE than gotten my money's worth out of these cues. At $81 total for the three cues, if they all fell apart tomorrow (and they may for all I know) I consider these cues a good bargain. If this is the kind of cue the OP was expecting, I can safely say that I was lucky enough to have gotten three of them, with no issues. So, I must say that YES, you can get a playable cue for $30. You just gotta get lucky like I did.

The sooner you realize there is no santa clause and 90% of the time you get what you pay for in life, the sooner you won't have these kinds of frustrations.

How many do you think they would sell if the advertisement stated that the cue might not be straight, and the joint description might not be accurate? You could have gotten lucky and got a straight one, but at $30 you were gambling.

1. Quality cues cost more than $30...if a cue is advertised for $30, it is not a quality cue. You will most likely get junk.
2. See rule number 1.

I didn't even bother to read any other replies...because YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! You have just been "hustled"...there is just so much you can really believe, and you got taken in by their line of BS. At least you're not out a lot of $$$.

So I bought a super cheap sneaky pete just because I was gonna use it as a spare for for when the wife comes out to play pool (very obscure) I founds this one http://http://www.thepoolhustler.com/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=162&osCsid=965da0aaacda545ecd11d0fb28cf488a and bought it, well it got here today and WOW what a POS! Problem #1 the site says it has a quick release joint.......nope it has a 5/16x18 pin which is no biggie. Problem #2 at the bottom of the butt theres an indent and #3.... the butt is warped!!
I rolled the cue on the floor and allmost pooped myself when I seen the thing roll and wobble. I know its a cheap cue but thats no the point, the point is when you sell something and say "Our precision-crafted custom brand of custom billiard cues are made of only the highest-quality hand-picked Canadian-Maple, and checked 5 times against exacting standards to ensure you a quality product.

This Genuine Hustler pool cue is guaranteed to be straight as arrow and provide you superior feedback during play." and you send out a POS thats just not right at all. I sure as hell wouldnt send this out to any one or send out anything without double checking it. I sent them an email but I can guess there response will be "send it back and we will send you a new one" thats fine and all but I'll be out 2 time the shipping (once for them shipping it to me and re-shipping it back to them) and that to me anyways is just not right. Sorry for the rant people but I had to vent and my 5yo isnt home to listen :)

I hate to say this but $29.87!
WELL...I paid $30 Cash and Carry for my 19 oz. Dufferin Sneaky. Straight, no wobble, no dents...nothing wrong with it. I use it on bar tables. Would never bring my expensive cue to play on a coin op bar table.

Did I just get lucky here?

hey mista...

Wait a tic, theres........theres....... no.......santa?? :frown: Lies I tell you!!

i still believe in Santa [and i'm Jewish, ain't that a kick????]

so here's the deal:

i have a bunch of really nice [i think] 2-pc cues with ss joint, if i remember 5/16-14 piloted [or 18s, maybe 18s] cues i give to the less fortunate children. i get them at a very inexpensive price cause the company knows the purpose and i have bought a lot of pool stuff from them. i will send you one for you wife in a cheap pink case, the only requirement is you must 'pay it forward'...

you must promise. so, deal?
if so, what weight?

and by the way, some of us were lucky like Maniac with his Rage cues, but by in large, you should know that a $30 cue is a big gamble. however, i must tell you that i bought 4 Great 1-piece Dufferins from a poster on this very thread, and boy are they great cues, but i don't kiss and tell.

and finally if i were you, i would just return the cue and be happy with only shipping $ lost and let it be the end of it [you can buy a great jj breaker for around $60 or 70]. but i wholeheartedly agree, that it is shameful 'at any price' to be cheated, and you were.

all the best,
smokey

Were you expecting it to be better than a house cue?
