Video of me playing pool

Can't make Reno  But i'll be in VF. Yall going? I know Joe prolly isn't but I figured the TAR guys would be there. If so, you're on!!!! We'll play doubles. I get Mel & you can pick whoever, Joe of he's around. I figure if I get Mel then my bill won't be too huge. If you & her teamed up, i'd be broke. :thud: The girl eats as much as you.....but fits into a deck of cards LOL So it's a logical decision for me. However, Joe outeats you, so i'm prolly just fvcked either way

Yeah I will be in VF slangin T-shirts and DVD's like crack rock. Maybe I will take Jimbo as my partner and really put the heat on you.

Jimbo?!!!! Oh hell. Why you gotta be like that? Take Capao or Sarah & save me a buck or two, huh? Well, maybe Jim won't be soooo bad. I can bribe him into losing with some curly purpleheart. He'll totally dump on you.

Nice out Joe!

John

Ps. Tell M. Goldberg to be quiet! More fighting less talking!

I've shot with Joe before and he IS a pretty sporty player.

Joe, I hear your game is only getting better these days. As for celebs that play, I think you could find quite a few big name poker players that play pretty well. Evelyn Ng once told me she played a lot of pool growing up, even used to gamble a lot as a teenager. There were a couple fo NBA players that played pretty well in the charity event last week in Dallas. Alonzo Morning and Alan Houston were probably the strongest players I saw.

Because I keep getting asked if I really do play pool, I thought I would put up this video of me knocking some balls around with Justin from the action report at Hollywood Billiards.
4" pockets and I'm pretty far out of stroke, but occasionally I get out :)

This is the only known video on the planet of me running an entire rack without missing.

I know this isn't about pool but I love that video were you call Carlos Mencia a theif on stage to his face.

Actors who can play

Hahaha, the word is none of those guys go online for anything other than ordering hookers, so I think I'm ok :)

I always wondered if there were enough celebrities that play to warrant some sort of celebrity pool show, but I'm thinking it's a pretty small group that are even remotely competent.

Joe, when I lived in Hollywood,I did a charity event at Hollywood Billiards to honor Danny Glover. Although he is only a casual player,I saw that Jamie Foxx was playing pretty sporty. When I was on the Drew Carey Show,we went to the after wrap at a little bar in Burbank, and Drew told me he played in the Marine Corp a lot. he was strong on the Barbox 8 Ball.I lived about 4 blocks from Hollywood Billiards so I was there a lot back then. Some more names will come to mind as I get the old brain cells going. Loved seeing your video there, brought back great memories.
That Out was Sweeeeet!!!! I'd like to see you and Paul Sorvino play some.

The mencia confrontation on stage happened back in 2007. His real name is Ned by the way. An entire section of Ned's wikipedia entry is dedicated to "Accusations of plagiarism", if that tells you anything.

I remember seeing a video of Joe shooting a while ago, and he was good then.

Charles Barkley does not play. This may have stemmed from an easy shot that he was set up to perform on a sports program. He missed it so badly it went three rails and in. As hard as it would be to believe, he does better playing golf than pool.

I believe the celebrity pool ranks would go:

Manny Pacquio
Joe Rogan
Josh Arieh
James Caan
DMX
Another rapper I cannot remember
Daniel Neqraneau
Keifer Sutherland

I have only seen a few of them play so the ranks are only based upon hearsay but should be fairly close. Some one like Jay Helfert could probably help out there with the older guys from Cali.

Don't forget about lou diamond phillips.

Kenny Lofton (baseball) is a pretty good shot, too. Played with him at a charity event. Was completely surprised when he started firing in shots from everywhere.

You got the crush for $20G's .......... J/K

Hittin good. I guess yall must have been playing for the dinner tab, huh? I'd run out too if it meant not having to pay for Justin's food LOL

Once I get a hold of that cue you're building me I'm gonna take it to the next level! :)

Sorvino may be the best "celeb" player. He is capable of running two to three racks in 14.1. David Brenner is another avid pool player. But the best of all has to be Mark Kendall, lead guitar/vocals for Great White. He is a true "shortstop" speed player. I've seen him beat some pretty good players at Hard Times. I don't think Sorvino or Paquiao or The Rogan could hang with him at 9-Ball. At least not yet. Rogan appears to be improving with age.

FEAR FACTOR CHALLENGE...Run out with a couple raw steaks around your neck while 2 man-eating tigers watch you!! Thats how the Pearl gets into the zone...lol!!!

Actually I think Joe would be at the top of the list. I keep hearing that Manny is only a C player. Joe looks like a solid B player, maybe better.

You can order hookers online?!

In Vegas all you gotta do is look over in traffic for the number.
