I just booked a pool-side room for next year.
The tentative dates are Jan 2nd - Jan 16th.

Hi Old Man,
I did not know that they take reservations one year a head.Can u please post the telephone # of the Hotel.I will also make reservations.I also want to rent one action table for 7 days x 24 hours.I want to play who ever comes to my table.I will play any of the following: 3 ball,8 Balll,9Ball,10 Ball,Golf,One Pocket.No straight pool and no 7 Ball.Cheers

What a GREAT idea. Surely though, you can't stay awake round the clock for 7 days. Maybe you need some help to fill in while you sleep. I'm sure you can find plenty of volunteers. Maybe we need an "AZB table". Let us know if they are receptive to your idea of a personal table and how much it costs - the notion brings up a lot of possibilities.

P.S. - WHY NOT STRAIGHT POOL???? I go to DCC just to find some good straight pool, couldn't you just make one exception for me (it will be really embarrassing for me to have to have you explain those complicated nine ball rules - I always get confused trying to figure out what ball to shoot next)?

I like both ideas. Lets have a "AZBILLIARDSTABLE"!
Willie can play whatever he wants when it is his turn & so can anyone else when their turn comes up.
Hell, I might want to have a CRAP GAME on the table when it is my turn.

Seriously, If they won't have a table for private use by us, maybe we could just have Greg set up a table in a suite for us. If it is close to the action & is only played on (at leats one of the players) by azbilliards members, this could be great.

I submitted my vacation request already and will be there in 2006. I think that an AZ Billiards table is a great idea. I would love to shoot some pool and BS with other people from this forum. I also wouldn't be against sending some money to reserve a suite with a pool table. Something to think about, set up a fund for AZB'ers to cover the costs of a suite and table rental.

Hi,
The reason for wanting to reserve the table for 24 hours is the fear that I may not be able get the table next day ,if I give it back at the end of the day.I do not mind paying for 24 hours a day x 7 days.Yes ,I definitely need help there.
I am clueless with straight pool.My highest run was 7 balls.My highest in one pocket was 8 balls.Isn`t it weird! Cheers

That's classic, Vagabond. Some might suggest that it's easier to run balls if you can use all six pockets, but you've definitely got me wondering!

I think someone should be in charge of this idea of the AZ Table, Suite or whatever we decide.
I vote for Mike Maloney as he is living in Louisville and has a great cue stand in the main corridor anyway. Mike is a AZer and has a good relationship with Greg Sullivan.

this sounds like a good idea, if you guys get this together i'm in. i was going to take my vacation and play in the U.S. open this year, but if you guys get this going, i'll take my vacation at the derby..........

I'm new to pool ( just 3 years) age 52 and went to dcc this year just to look around and had a great time. Planning on going next year. Captain2560
 
Sounding Very Good, So Far..............

Mike Maloney has told me that he will be in contact with Greg about this idea. This is good that we got this going so early. I think it will happen and be a Blast. Mike will let us all know after he works out the details with Greg.

I just only hope all you fine people don't find out that I have been "Just A Lot Of Talk & No Action" as far as my playing capabilities go.
Oh well, I'll just have to bring some extra cash.

OHB-some of us already know this. It is about time the rest of the world finds out. I keep telling you to stick to playing Gin, that is more of an old man's (or oldhasbeen for that matter) game.

Watchez - I am trying my hardest to stick to gin. That is why I am on www.gamecolony.com almost all day. I am also thinking about my entrapranurial possibilities of becoming a Gigilo. Any refferals would be greatly appriciated.
