They're all ignorant that's why. Its Efren with an "n".So I'm watching and noticing that everyone (Sigel, Trudoue, Jones etc) refer to Efren as EfreM.
Now I have always known him as Efren Reyes. Am I wrong or are they just pronouncing his name wrong, if so why? I think it seems rude to do that over and over.

Allen Hopkins is an other one that always called him Efrem, and it drove me crazy listening to him say that. What is so hard about saying his name correctly, "F Ren"? To me that shows a lack of respect for a man who is a legend in the Pool world.
Finally, some damn science to prove a claim.Might be somewhat of a regional accent thing. Most of the north east does odd things. Especially with the letter R. I think I have it figured out though. What you do it you take the R out of all the words you pronounce, especially if they end in R. and you save those and add them to the end of any word that ends with a vowel.
"I drove my ca(r) down to the ma(r)ket and bought some tomators"
"I can't watch the live stream because I don't have a big enough datar plan on my cell phone"

Not excusing that frequent mispronunciation, just answering your question as best that I can:So I'm watching and noticing that everyone (Sigel, Trudoue, Jones etc) refer to Efren as EfreM.

The mispronouncing of Efren was not the worst of it. The worst of it was the thrashing Efren gave Mike, a real beat down. Then in spite of the lousy playing Mike still got $100,000.
If I was having a good night I could of played as good as Mike did that night. It was the most lop sided big money match I have ever seen.
It had to have been very embarrassing for a guy that had won so many tournaments against so many great players.
To me, it was even more ridiculous when Trudeau commentated an IPT final between Reyes, the greatest eight ball player that ever lived bar none, and Sigel, who'd just come out of a fifteen year retirement. Trudeau commentated as if Sigel were the clear favorite with Efren, a worthy aspirant for the title, trying for the upset. It was pretty tough to listen to such nonsense!
