We all need to say a prayer for JA's dad

JA's dad is in the hospital, possibly the ICU with CHF Congestive heart failure, it sounds worse than it is(sometimes) I dont know what his injection fraction number is, the lower the worse. My dad had it for about 7 -8 years so its not a death sentance unless the IF is real low.


I didnt get permission from JA or Mel to make this post but I took it upon myself to make the judgment to make this post, I dont post JA's personal stuff on AZ with out his permission-except this time I felt I had to weather he gets mad at me or not, I met his dad once and heard alot about him. JA and his dad are VERY close, I have been lucky to hear the stories. On a lighter note his dads nose gives JA's the 5 ball its so huge and JA is proud of that.


So can everyone out there tonight say a prayer, or positive thought, send positive vibes, etc what ever your thing is for JA's dad and JA's family. We all need to support him right now more than ever, like I said they are triple close. Someday with his permission I will share a story or two about them. JA is a family man with his parents and siblings as well as his own family.

Agreed -- I'm sending very warm, healing thoughts towards the Archer family. I hope JA's Dad recovers as soon as possible!

I just got a txt from JA and he asked me to thank everyone on AZ for their thoughts, prayers etc.


I dont know how seroius it is, he is in his earily 80's perhaps 85 so at that age its serious.

I remember watching Johnny snap off the world 9ball on TV and I saw his dad in the stands as the camera panned towards him. The look of joy on his dad's face was something I'd never forget.

I hope someday I can snap off something big in front of my dad like Johnny did. My heart goes out to his dad... *PRAYING*

Thanks for that update Eric. I have had the honor of spending time with Johnny's mom and dad at a few tournaments. Johnny's dad is good people - a great father and grandfather. I will lift his entire family up in prayer in hopes of a full recovery.
 
I stopped in to the Riv last month and ran into J.A. in the lobby, I did not have the nerve to meet him he seemed like he was in a hurry. Maybe next year, I wish the best for the family and your father Johnny.

Eric,

You're correct. It isn't a death sentance even at his age. Johnny has that mental toughness that helped make him one of the greatest pool players of all time. It had to come from somewhere. My guess is his dad. He'll do just fine!

johnny my heart felt prayers are with you my father and i are close. and i pray that you and your father share many more memories. there is nothing more important than family May god bless you and yours!
