Weird AZBilliards Issues

Anyone else getting no-loads, super-slow page loads, etc.? Been happening randomly for a week or so. I'm pretty sure it's not my connection because other sites load immediately (I'm on an 8mb line).


Anyone else see weird stuff?

Note to admins...if you want high-end hosting (dedicated server, not shared-server) cheap, pm me.

I got the same issues all morning but only today for me.. I am on a 1GB line through work so it's not the connection.. I talked to another AZer that had the same issue today..
 
yup! it was running slow this morning... way too many CTE threads in the main forum:rolleyes:

j/k it better now (for me anyway)

I was literally writing this same thread.....I have been having HUGE problems getting on. Or it will just stop loading for a few minutes and then start again....

Agreed. My "guess" would be that their site is on a shared server at a co-lo. Could also be a virtualized server that's over-taxed. Hard to tell. All easy to fix, though.

The only reason I made this post is because this has been happening randomly for some time now. Glad to see it's not just me.

Woke up this morning to find the site down. I was worried about a repeat issue of the server problems from the Open last year and this is why we made the changes that we did to the US Open pages this year. (Moved them to a cloud server).

It doesn't appear to be the US Open pages that are causing the problem though. I am trying to figure out what is causing the speed issues.

Spiderweb, plan on a call from me next week. We are on a dedicated server and should not be having issues like this. Keep in mind though, that the main site and the forums are on completely separate machines.

It's really been hanging my computer up the last few weeks too, home and work - and I have pretty fast connections. There are times where it just won't load.

Been having the same problem for the last few weeks. I thought it was my router. Most times I use a Ipad and there are certain internet features that it doesn't support.

Late last night and earlier today. Same as everyone else. Slow to load, if at all. Okay now.

No offense but that isn't really very weird. I was abducted by aliens from the planet d-988 in the xagmo system who subjected me to hours of intense questioning about azbilliards.

My username and apa rating are the only things I revealed.
