What Break Cue to buy now?

Ok, I've had 6 break cues in the past year. I've tried everything from a Predator to a Bunjee to a Schmelke. But I still haven't found one I liked. A few years ago I had 2 cheaper sneaky petes. One was a Players and the other was a no name. I had phenolic tips put on and they broke great!

My question is should I try that again, or buy a break specific cue. If I go that route I want to spend between $200-$300. I was looking at the Orange Crush, the Viking Fat daddy and a few others.

What would by fellow AZB brethren suggest?

I just got a custom break cue made. The guys name is Bob Flynn and if you google Denali cues you can find his website. His prices are in your range too. Im very pleased with mine.

I'm sure someone else will say it. If you're having problems with your break, it's not the cue. Taking some of that money and spending it working on your break (perhaps with the Break-Rack or other method) or better yet seeking out a qualified instructor in your area would in my humble opinion serve you better than buying another cue.

Yea I definitely understand that aspect of it, and I've yet to get with anyone yet. But I I'll be soon(along with other "classes"). I know it's really not the cue itself, but I still want one that I can break comfortably with that yields better results until I can get instructed.

But I'm really not coming out if pocket because I sold my Predator.

mezz break cues are phenomenal...i like the pb2 (the short one) the best. i've got it paired with a deep impact pro shaft....fantastic combination!

I have two break cues. One is a hightower with a leather and phenolic tip. That one breaks great. the other one is a TNT with purple heart shaft and a phenolic tip and it breaks great as well.

Yea my buddy has a Larry Neval with a Purple Heart shaft....it breaks very well. I may try the Mezz out. Ive heard a lot of positive comments about it on here, and locally.

OB for me

I started a few years back with a BK2 from predator, and put the ob break shaft on it with great success... until finally i just got the OB Break Cue itself. Do yourself a favor and try this bad boy out. It comes with a leather samsara tip and you'll feel the power and control.

You really can't beat it for the money. It's in your price range and there are quite a few pro's who say it's the best on the market. Including our dear friend Stan Shuffett.

Give it a try and see how it feels. I really like mine and have broken the best I ever had in my life with that cue.

Sincerely,

Raymond Linares

Contact Mike G at Baby's Pro Shop[. I have oneof his break cues he made specifically for me and the power and I control Ihave is super. Granted you haveto have the stroke but his equipmehnt will make it easier.

break cue

I have a stinger cue, Jump/break for 150 dollars,,,,breaks the balls good.
Or I have a Cannon break or Jump/break for 160 dollars.....

Stinger weighs in around 18.4 oz.
Cannon weigh in around 23.6

Both cues break the balls very good, balls scatter very good........

I would start looking at one piece house cues, when you find one that feels good buy it and have pin installed.

Thats what I did a few years ago and I still happy with the results.

I use a Olney shaft on a mcdermott m1 sneaky.

have predator/olney/mcdermott shafts for it. Stock shafts suck, but that Olney w phenolic really tears em up.
