hey everybody,

I was just wondering what everyones thoughts are on what they consider a bad night of pool?

Thanks

Spending the entire night not drinking because your on a motorcycle, only to pull out and get hit by a drunk driver.

haha those all are pretty bad nights and i dont want any of them to happen to any one, But I was looking for replys more along the lines of pool performance lol.

Is this a bad night?

I've been beat so bad that the only stroke of luck I got.....
....was that nobody stepped on my fingers as I left the pool hall.:(

..but I'm not the only one....
..won $600 on a proposition bet where you had to draw around three balls.
..on his last try my opponent destroyed his Moori and nicked his shaft.

You know for sure that you are in trouble if:

Your mortgage, your wife, and your girlfriend

are all 3 months past due...

LOL!!! Joe didn't realized you were that young. That's funny but seriously...that a bad night if you have to think about that while playing pool.

Duc.

It's a bad night when I lose a match because the a-hole I was playing didn't call a foul on himself after a bad hit  (and everyone in the house knew it was a bad hit)!!!

Quit playing leagues for this very reason. It happened THREE separate times in ONE session.

  • Getting knocked out of a 9-ball torunament by an ex-teammate that can't make a ball, just because you didn't take him seriously.
  • Losing an APA regional team 8-ball event when the match was won, our player had ball and hand on the 8-ball hanging by the side pocket, but she put the CB in the only spot on the table where it was a difficult shot.
We couldn't call timeout because her APA-3 husband got mad when we called time out. I did quit the team that night, but my mind was made up weeks before.

Performance is my responsibility. Poor performance doesn't equate to a "bad night" for me, it simply turns into a learning experience. A bad night is playing league in a new locale where the owner doesn't give a damn about the condition of his equipment. I hate playing on paper thin cloth that has been puked on and used as an ashtray. Tables that resemble the leaning tower of Pisa with rails as dead as sandbags......That is a "Bad Night".

It doesn't matter if I win or lose. A bad night for me is not measured by the results of my games, but by my performance. If I'm not playing to the best of my capabilities, then I had a bad night. To think about it.. I never had a good night :(

Bad,Badder,Baddest And Ultra Bad

Bad : Getting picked to play first for the pool team and losing to a dodgy call from the oppositions referee.

Badder : Getting picked to play first and losing to a dodgy call by the oppositions referee and the team win the singles matches 7-1 and pity help the guy who lost !

Baddest : Getting picked to play the first singles match and losing out to a dodgy call from the oppositions referee and then the team win the singles 7-1 and then your picked for one of the 4 doubles matches and a similar dodgy call from the oppositions referee means that you lose the doubles tie but the team may have won 10-2 but you lost in the singles and the doubles.

Ultra Bad : The first time somebody stole your cue in the poolhall !

Have fun and keep smiling !:)

No such thing as a bad day or night at pool.
Its just like fishing.
A bad day of pool is better than a good day at work.

Altho, I did get my butt kicked sufficiently last night.

Must of had something to do with that cigarette that my opponent gave me
half way thru the session. I think he called it Kush. Never heard of it before.
