MBTaylor said:What is stupid about this whole discussion is that this thread is 5 pages long of nothing but bashing the other site for taking jabs at this site.
If Jimbo's Army is so senseless and childish, and EVERYONE here is so superior, why waste your time and contradict your claims of superiority by discussing it to such great length?

Jimbo pulls no punches.
If he sees some liar getting away with lies, he'll tell it straight.
If he sees a maker stealing designs, he will get on it and get on it hard. One maker went to the site and set the record straight with MCWorter.
People there are brutally honest.
If you like tootin' your horn, it better be sharp.
It might, but that's Jimbo.ribdoner said:ADR but this is a slippery slope. Kinda like "monster" hit.
IMO most arguments on this topic are for the sake of argument.

BTW EVERYONE is welcome at the Jimbo forum. It's a great place. Jimbo often gives me a hard time because I post so much here at AZ. I simply let it roll off my back. I know he's just messin' with me. And if he isn't, who cares?

Jazz said:1) I'm not limp and it's not my army ... please stop using "limp" and "Ho" in same sentence.
2) With JBCB, hangemhigh and now Wheat giving their expert opinion on jimbo's army ... well, I don't think Jim needs any enemies
There are many people who post and CONTRIBUTE to both forums.
In the end, who gives a shit ... it's just an internet participation ...

Its an online pool-based forum that consists of many current and former AZers. The "JimBo army" is actually just a name that was inspired by the site's mastermind (and former AZer) JimBo. Jim was a guy who often spoke his mind here. He didn't care about who he upset or pissed off. He said what he felt... a rather admirable quality.
However, Jim's tone was and still is, often sarcastic, thus meeting with a lot of disapproval from the mods and a slew of tight-asses that have infested this sight. Conflict often arose and soon, posts were deleted, threads were removed, bans were set in place, and subsequently the freedom to express your opinions on this site WITHOUT scrutiny and sometimes punishment promptly disappeared.
So Jim took it upon himself to start a pool-inspired forum where pool nuts could meet up and talk about pool, cues, and anything else they wanted. Many of Jim's friends joined. Lots of us meet in his CHAT room daily. We meet up each year at VF. We basically have a good time without having to worry about bans, reprimands, etc.
Jim, being a collector, has also garnered some big name support with members like Mike Webb, Murray Tucker, Dave Barrenbrugge, Bill Stroud, Jerry McWorter, Thomas Wayne, and others.
Its a lot of fun actually because the site is reminiscent of AZ years ago before the influx of tight-asses who object to just about any and every opinion that differs from their own.
Give it a try. It may help give you some better perspective on THIS place.
