In your opinion what or who makes the best and highest quality of pool/ Billard balls???

Of those that are currently being produced, Brunswick Cenntenials are the best. Super Aramith Pros are a close second. They are both made by the same company, Saluc/Aramith.

I don't which one is the best but I prefer Brunswick Centennials. I don't like the pink 4/12 and the tan 7/15. I also like the weight of the Brunswick's. One place I go to has these really heavy Aramith balls. I don't know which ones they are but hitting the cue ball feels like you're hitting a bowling ball. I really don't like those.

I like classic things...

I own a Gold Crown I and so I use Brunswick Centennials...anything else just wouldn't 'fit'...although I do experiment with different cue balls...

Right now it's Aramith. Soon there will be another brand of balls that compare in every way to those made by Saluc, except price.

Raschig from Germany are awfully good. Among the Belgian Aramith balls, I prefer the Super Aramith, TV Pro-Cup balls. For some reason they seem to stay cleaner longer. And these sets come with the "measle" cue ball, which I think is the best one also.

The weight difference between the two sets is insignificant. What you are probably experiencing is light cue balls...due to wear...which make the OBs seem heavy.

U.S. or foreign made?

:-) You do know that Aramith balls are "foreign made" as well don't you?

I can't really say more right now but I will let you know that there is another ball company making balls that will hit the market very soon which have tolerances that are as good as Aramith. The hardness and consistency is as good as and according to the company's testing better than Aramith balls.

I have tested these balls side by side and done all the tests that Aramith recommends that people do to test their balls against their competition. In all aspects the balls have performed equally well. These tests include rub tests, bounce tests, and roundness tests.

Well that's enough for now. Look for the ads some time in the near future.

Thank you ...

Thanks to all for your advise ... Jay has offered me a set of Centenials at a great price so I'm going that way ... Also was able to pick up a used set of Aramith on ebay for 19.95 to use as a backup set ... So I guess I'm set ...

Eric I would prefer not to play with your balls so please quit advertising here on the forum ... And if your coming out of the closet I think that should be done in the NPR forum... Maybe you should send Faboy a PM I think he came out of the closet earlier this week ...;)... Must be time for true confessions here on AZ... LOL...Just kidding ...

Fast Larry has VERY NICE pool balls made in China called Vigma. I bought a set for a little over $100.

They have MUCH LESS tolerance of error than the Aramith balls (i.e. they are ROUNDER).

They come in designs that ROCK!!!! They even have a measles cue ball - not a copy of Aramith. I do like the Aramith measles better though.

I can't tell the difference as I have a set of super Aramiths.
