Didn't know that there was any other than AZ.

Truthfully any other forum than AZ mostly have the same questions topics that were already started on AZ by the same posters but with less or no discussions so they are a waste of time.

favorite forum? are you serious? For general pool THIS SITE CAN'T BE BEAT

If your looking for one pocket....then onepocket.org.

IMOP az is the best then onepocket.org

Linking to other forums is in bad taste.

It is prohibited in the forum rules on most sites.

Serious??? I didn't know that.

I opened this topic for the purpose of exchanging the online resources that hopefully can benefit all pool fans here ONLY!

PS. If anyone can show me the "Rules" here, I am going to delete this thread right away.

Calgary, I am gonna give you the benefit of the doubt here. I am sure you didn't think that there was anything wrong with this thread. and to be honest if you are just trying to help give other pool fans some options for info thats cool. HOWEVER! AZB is a tight community and tend to dislike pushing other forums on this one. There are some others out there that do a good job but AZB is by far the best in the world.

I guess there are some unwritten rules about this kind of thing so now you know. I have seen your posts and threads before and from what I remember I enjoy your input.

Don't worry to much about it Calgaryplayer, Az is the place to be. I have tried a few other boards and they don't cut it. Maybe if you like piece & quite some could work but if you like action it is right here;).

What's my favorite other than AZB, or including AZB?

In either case it's just AZB :P I don't see the point in going elsewhere. Not meant as a knock on those forums, it's just that I've got everything I need in one site. I think if I got deep into one pocket I could see myself visiting onepocket.org's forums.

Just ask the question without the links.
Not a bad topic, just bad judgement posting the links.

As far as other billiard forums go, I think AZ could give them 12-4, or the 4 & out.
Most other billiard forums seem to move very slowly compared to AZ.

most pool forums get 2 or 3 posts a day.. not a great place to "hang out"

AZ has a hundred people posting at 4am..and thats the "slow" time

most traffic equals best forum..

I have only been here for a short time, but AZ sucks at being the worst forum! This is the cue ball damit.

i kick it on az a lot but i also go to poolfanatic, jimbo's army, and seyberts. i almost never go to seyberts though because almost nothing new gets posted there

Well AZ, of course...

I would be curious to hear Mike's official opinion, but I would be very surprised if there was any kind of rule about no links to other forums, as long as the links/posts are in good taste and in the spirit of sharing information for the benefit of the AZB forum members -- not just shameless spam. I am the admin for OnePocket.org (and appreciate the kind words expressed below), and I know we do not have such a rule. In fact there are many links to specific AZB threads on OnePocket.org. Actually, what little I know about internet "value", I thought one way that web sites increased their "value" (i.e. traffic) was mutual links -- I thought that was one of the Google considerations, too. Please correct me if I am wrong. Even though I am a site administrator, I am no web genius -- just a major fan of the game of One Pocket.

Of course, OnePocket.org is not really a competitor because we are just a niche site that does share to a degree "serving the public's interest in pool" with AZ, except for us it is just a narrow segment that we focus intently on, while AZ covers the whole gamut.

However, I do have one teeny tiny pet peeve, and that is when someone happens to find something unique on onepocket.org, then posts the quote, info, photo or whatever it is on here (or another forum -- if there was another significant forum :) ), but neglects to credit or link to the site they got the tidbit from -- that being onepocket.org. And from my own questions when this happens, people have mentioned this idea that they "didn't think they were supposed to". Well I would be surprised if that was more than a common misconception -- like I said, as long as the usual forum anti-spam rules are followed, of course. Now, maybe there are specific forums that Mike doesn't appreciate links to... I can see where that could be true, but I certainly don't think Mike Howerton is worried about OnePocket.org nibbling into his market share....

Oh, and my other favorite forum? of course it's onepocket.org -- but everything said about the difference in traffic? it's true :)

Thank you for listening.
