What skills do you need help with?

I like it. Very creative hillbilly cartoon. As long as you're honest with your product and not trying to sell yourself, I don't think you can go wrong ever.

Glad things are moving along for you Charlie... I met you with Bill Gibbs at DCC and you were more than cordial....

The one thing I could see a DVD being done on is 8ball patterns with offensive safety play....

Many 8ball players will play a lock down safe and do nothing at all towards leaving the object ball they played safe off of in a position to handle the rest of the rack with or without ball in hand......

Run out 8ball is all about offensive safety play but I have yet to see a DVD on it... I have watched some old Roger Grffis videos and he might as good as it gets at that skill set

You seem like a guy that is all about systems (bankling, kicking, positional play and so forth). The systems you use to get these things done would be great. Often many folks go by feel, so your systems to me would be much more accurate and take out a lot of the guess work. I think you have a really good idea going here with these instructional videos on your site.Good luck and I wish you nothing but the best.

sighting and aiming!

I'm surprised nobody mentioned sighting and aiming.
And consistent alignment of course!!!

I would like to see some info on:
- getting on line properly and consistently
- grip and stroke
- sighting/aiming
Also, there are a number of systems out there to help with the kicking game. Maybe you could share like you did with the 3 diamond system. That was a good one. Now I know why I scratch in the side all the time.

Thanks HillBilly, we appreciate you wanting to help us with our game.

Hey Charlie, how about a video of how to remain focused on pool after a beautiful, well-endowed, scantilly-clad woman walks by you in the poolhall and is playing on the table next to yours. You know the one, the one that everything in the hall comes to a complete stop when the cueball is out in the middle of the 9-foot table and it's HER shot .

Be sure to include LOTS and LOTS of examples of the various "distracting forms of attire" such as low-cut blouses, Daisy Duke shorts, and the like .

On a more serious note, I'd like to see some something along the lines of "kicking using english" maybe one coupling kicking with the diamond system using english.

Good luck to you Charlie, and thanks for the instruction!!!

Maniac

I see you're still using the X-Breaker break cue in your break trailer. Is that the same one that you used when you were timed at 34.7 mph? Do you use this routinely in your regular play? Thanks!
:p

Here's a title

"Knowing when to spin " Charlie ,I was talking to you at the Carolina open you won a few years back .You and I were talking about putting spin on the cue ball vs players who stick to center ball.It would be nice to hear more about this . That final race to 15 you won against Archer around 4 am is still one of my favorite matches

It is possible to place the CB at center table OB one diamond off of the side pocket and position the CB on the rail of any diamond on the table (after the shot is complete) using no spin (centerball only). I would like to see this done and hear how each shot differs from the others.

What about a spot shot and draw it all the way back to the head string....seen Massey do this

Yes....if you could please show me how to pull my head outta my a$$ while playing....that would be awesome!

No problem.

Eat White Castle approx. 20 mins. before you play.

No man or woman would be dumb enough to stick their head up there after White Castle.

I like a bunch of those ideas. I know my stroke needs some work. I honestly do not know how to train myself for a straighter, more consistent stroke. I tend to shoot slightly right many times, and it seems worse the more I let my stroke out.

Braden

Stroke falls under Fundamentals and that video is towards the top of the list. Check my website every so often or you can go sign up on the mailing list (www.hillbillyonthehill/contact) to receive updates on new releases as they come out.

Also, within the next month or so, I am coming out with a free tip on follow stroke. That may help a little.

the kicking system would be great, this is what i lack in my game, seeing the two rail kick
you know what i have seen Efren Bata Reyes escape from safety plays which really amazed me on this imagination skills. his ability to hit the object ball via 2 or 3 rail kicks, with counter safety afterwards, that's a wow factor for me

Kicking is one of the subjects that I am asked about the most. The systems I use make kicking easier but at the same time, it is a complex topic and will fall into more than one video. The first one, Beginning Kicking, will be out very soon. Intermediate and advanced kicking will come a little later.

My wife keeps telling me that I need to do one on safety play. I guess I am going to add it to the list. :o That should make her happy. Thanks for the suggestion.
