the riviera isnt bad priced right now either...I'm paying a little under $250 for 9 nights.
I haven't stayed there before....but the stratushere...has a special right now if you book through expedia which gives you rooms for $29 per night.

you better get a room at the front or you DO have a very long walkFly right into Vegas, there is no where else. If you are really looking to do it on the cheap then I would stay at Circus Circus. It is directly across the street from the Riv so no cabs, buses, or long walks. It is easily the most convenient (not best) hotel to the tournament besides the Riv itself.

theres a new hotel in the east parking lot of rivera, does anyone know anyting about it,i dont need a room anymore as i bought a condo in las vegas country club by hilton.Whenever i stay in vegas always stayed at rivera, sometimes i paid more, sometimes i got a deal but nothing beats walking downstairs anytime you want to play game or minis or somebody or just to watch money matchesI know the rooms in the back are a shlep but I would think in any event the CC is a shorter walk than just about any other hotel.
In Vegas just about any hotel across the street from where you are is closer than one next door.
