Where's Everyone Staying During BCA Nationals?

The Riv...two adjoining 2-br suites on the 22nd floor to accomodate the whole team.

Staying at the Hilton right across the street from the Riv. It's a little more expensive, but it's really worth it. I LOVE the Hilton.
How much more expensive - where exactly is it located.

Thanks,

Ever heard of the "west gate flamingo bay"? Any clue how far it is from the RIV?
Looks like it's about 3 miles away. Not too far from where I am staying. Google it. You will find a map.

I am staying here http://lasvegas.place.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/place/index.jsp
May 12 through the 17th
Its a real nice place and is convenient to the Riv being right down Paradise.

The Riv is too overpriced and I like to get away for a few hours. In the past if I had a little too much to drink I have taken a cab back to my hotel and back the next day. Cheaper than a DUI and easy to do in Vegas.

We'll be there from the 8th to the 18th, we've leased a 5 Bedrm home, with a Pool Table & a big back yard. $1496 for the 7 of us. We are 3/4 mile from the Riviera. Come see us in our booth....

Just out of curiousity, I went to the website & the Hyatt is sold out during the 8th - 18th. How much are you paying?

And I wonder what a 5 bedroom house 3/4 of a mile away from the RIV looks like.

We're staying in a time share off site. I agree traffic is bad and I hate missing anything but I just can't stand the rooms at the Riv. Maybe next year after they've remodelled everything.

I've stayed at the Hilton too and it's great. Close enough to walk to the Riv.

Is there an AZB room again?

I used Priceline, which I have used many many times over the past 10 years.

Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $42.00
Subtotal: $210.00
Taxes & Service Fees: $30.89
Total Charges*: $240.89

I have gotten this hotel before and its great.

Terribles Casino is another place that has really good deals. I have stayed there for $29 a night a few times. Rooms are nice and hotel prices on food, drinks, gambling etc are good also.
I tried there this time and they are pretty full so no killer deals.

Hooters has a good rate also. Also The Orleans. Typically $30-$40 at The Orleans on special.

The Hyatt is pretty close. I try to stay on Paradise if I can as its really quick and easy to get to the back of the Riv and valet.

Bidding on priceline can be somewhat tricky but doing so for Vegas is pretty simple.
Always check www.biddingfortravel.com for winning bids and hotel lists/reviews. Hotwire and cheapovegas.com on good also.
Most people bid on the high star rating and on the strip locations.

A couple years back I got The Residence Inn on Paradise for $38 a night for a week. Heck of a bargin in Vegas. Thats if you dont mind not being off the strip and not in a casino.

I'm staying at the Riv the 11th through the 18th. Usually I don't play and go for fun and stay at the Mirage but this year I'm playing the team event and wanted the convenience of being on-site.

If you don't mind driving, the Tuscany has reasonable rates, the rooms are HUGE (all suites), good food deals and it's clean.

Downtown is cheap, but has a high crime rate.

Circus Circus isn't all that bad if you get one of the newer rooms plus it's nearby.

I was looking on-line and the Hilton had reasonable room rates and is within walking distance as well.

I missed the Stardust.

I used to stay there for $35 per night every year. They would put you on the first floor by the village area, but it worked out even better for me.

Wow shows how the BCA rates to APA. I would think they could be more similar at least. APA = $70 and BCA = $92

I just booked a room today at the Riviera from the 9th to the 12th. If any of my friends that I know wants to share the cost, pm me.

My friends and I always take a bus for $1.00....It stops right in front of the Riveria and goes everywhere and stops like every 10 minutes....I have been doing that for years...Cheap and fast and easy....

What events are you playing??
Good luck in them.

I'm on a team. I know Elias is playing singles. Check with him about the room if you already haven't.

I enjoyed playing the other night even though I lost. Maybe we can play again before BCA. I am trying to play a little more with BCA and APA regionals upcoming. Plus I just like to play ;)
