Where's the players money barry berhman??

yeah...

Well it's a pool tournament. If badminton players went, it would be awkward.

maybe, but it would be funny as hell seeing them try to hit a cb with a badminton racket....

80% (edited) + or so of the players who cashed got paid with no problem. Probably 75% of them never heard of AZB. They have no reason not to go. The "players in the know" are desperate and if holds another one, most of them will take a chance and go also .Again I am not a BB supporter but that's' the way i see it. If he wants it to continue, it will.

or 70%+/-, of the payout cashed by Net 30 - depending on how you look at it.

actually my figures were off as the 96.5 % approximation was of the full field and not of the cashing players which it should have been. I dont now how many positions were paid so you do the math. :)

Blue Hogg Rider-

unfortunately, this warning didn't happen for those who were affected.

Speaking to peoples logic and common sense is the only way.

Winning the US OPEN is something no one can ever take away.

And yet everyone will be back to play again next year. Hmm

I haven't played in the US OPEN the last few years, however, I will say this. I'd rather win the US OPEN in Virginia and not get paid than win any other tournament in the US and get paid.

Winning the US OPEN is something no one can ever take away.....money, on the other hand is here today, gone tomorrow, and no one can take it with them.

I still think players should be paid, however, the legal world is made up of settlements. We learned this in the gambling world, if I don't think someone can pay me I'll settle for 50% right away.....and maybe even less if necessary. That's why all gambling money should be put up by both players, or there will possibly be an issue at the end.

I would like to speak to someone outside of the Texas office, where are the other locations and what is the contact info?

MIKE HOWERTON: "we're 4 mos past last year's Open, & the players are just now getting paid?"

BARRY: ".....we found out after almost 2 months, because they were overseas, & i am not going to throw Roberta or anybody under the bus, she IS my bookkeeper and i SHOULD have been reminded of this sooner, but....

i have been working my ass off to rebuild my business. and i've done a real good job: i've hired a consultant; i've hired a company that comes in & weighs all of your liquids once a week; i've hired a POS expert that disects my micros system & then she also checks on comps (?) voice & discounts. cause let's face it, you know, when given the opportunity there are many that will just take advantage of you or me. i have been working smarter.....and now business is booming, like unreal....and i can afford now to....a typical THU/FRI/SAT credit card batches used to be $8-$9K...and last weekend they were $17500; the weekend before that was $15500....
and that's just credit card sales from my little 72 tbl room....

it's insanely good. INSANELY GOOD!"

Really CJ. Easy to say when a person has a little set aside. How many. Yourself, Shane VB, maybe one other player. Just how prestigious is an event title when it is shrouded in the BS that the OPEN has been every year for many years. And, it just keeps getting worse. Betcha that Earl didn't feel that way when he ran 11 for a Million.

Winning the US OPEN is something no one can ever take away.....money, on the other hand is here today, gone tomorrow, and no one can take it with them.

Again, easy to say when you maybe don't have to rely on your tournament win to keep yourself going. What about players from Europe, China and Viet Nam that invest considerable more in travel expenses and then get stiffed. Take Nam, from Viet Nam. How much did he really net after airfare, accommodations and misc. He recently received $1500.00 out of $3000.00 He is still in the hole.

I still think players should be paid, however, the legal world is made up of settlements. Well, I guess we can give you that much. Playing, and getting paid from Barry is more of a GAMBLE than betting it up and settling on a personal level on the side.

Other than that, what does gambling have to do with Barry paying his debts to players that have earned it by winning at the Open? Not much, right.

Someone tell Barry that since his business is booming. Why can't you just pay the players. This rant is just down right ridiculous. He seems to have hired someone to handle every aspect of his operation except his financial liabilities.

Ok Im not going to throw BB under the bus  but

First off you have to be an idiot if you dont notice in your own business that your CC receipts should be 15k but are only $9k. He has the biz 40 plus years-You're supposed to be able to tell by eyeball within a few hundred what the days receipts are. Ok so we know BB qualifies here, he is an idiot.

Second-How does one steal 40% of CC receipts from a business without leaving a clear electronic trail? You'd have to be pretty clever to do it at all not to mention furtively.

Im not sure exactly where the BS is, but it's there somewhere for sure.

I see the Golden Arches, with a sign "TOI OVER ONE BILLION SERVED"

CJ, I can't believe as a player you said that. Johnnyt

Johnny, if I won the US OPEN I'd sell another 300,000 TOI DVDs, you should know that. LoL

I can see the golden arches now, with a sign that simply says: TOI - OVER ONE BILLION SERVED

'The TOI is the Teacher' ;)
