People say who hits the best. Who does the best refinish. Who has the top production cue. What do the pros shoot with, blah blah. So which cues do we not see for sale very much here on AZ or even flea bay for that matter. Obviously Gus or Boti due to the few in existence. Of the newer cues of the last 25-30 years, I will guess Black Boar. Again not as many made but then I see plenty of Scruggs, R.Black, Tasc and others turning out 50-75 cues a year. Give insight and opinion as to your thoughts on subject.

The reason that some cues are not listed here for sale is that some cues are not in the best market.

Meucci cues for example are best sold on ebay.

I have found that less and less high end cues ($2K +) are sold here because AZ isn't the best market for those cues.

At one time $2K-$5K cues were sold on AZ often. I have found that the folks that are on have less money and are looking for a BARGIN, instead of buying a cue.

I could sell all of my cues probably in day or two, just calling a few folks. ;)

The ones I list for sale are not "keepers" and are typically lower end cues.

I know there is a colorful history involved, but Lee Peppers. I liked his cues and had a few. Also, OLDER Samsara's with the original pin. Those just don't seem to come up anymore.

I have never seen a cue I have made for sale here on AZ. My cues suck.

Really play terrible.

Last year I purchased only two cues from the forum: a one of a kind Mezz cue and and vintage Tad. I also purchased a Black Boar from an AZ member that had a both/table at the SBE, another Black Boar from an AZ member who has a website and lastly another Black Boar cue from an AZ member who also has a website (cash/trade deal). The quality of cues for buy/sell/trade has been lacking the last few years. I've seen a lot of production cues, lower end custom cue and some unknown cues that were down right scary looking...lol.

Hopefully 2015 will turn out to be a better year with cues...I just purchased a Gus from a forum member who was selling it on the forum and should be taking delivery any day now. I guess you just have to be at the right place and at the right time.

Other then ebay, is there somewhere else that guys are selling now ?

I would have to say Joe Porper. I had one years ago and it was the best hitting cue I ever played with. Very few on here at all. They had a great feel to them. Wish I could find another and had the $$$ to buy it.

Haven't seen any Alex Brick (playing) Cues for sale in quite a while.

There's a reason folks keep them !

You Don't See......

There's plain version Ginacues that come up....the same is true for Searing......however fancy version Ginacue or fancy version Searing cues rarely happen on the Forum.

Wish you could try my Runde

Matt B, I wish I would of got my Runde collector made with ivory Joint and ferrules. I've never played either but I think if it was you couldn't resist my cue, lol. As always let me know if I can help with anything. I'm still always on the lookout for the damn Cortland you desire so much. Tom

I have only seen one Searing with points and veneers for sale on here in the past few years. Also Ed Prewitt cues (apart from the Plain Jane models) seem to be less and less common.

I don't see a ton of Josey cues on here in comparison to a lot of the other so called "best hitting" cue ever or hits a ton, or any of the other claims to fame the big cues have. Nitti comes to mind also, not a ton of those on here. I think Josey cues are so good that most people don't have reason to part with them unless hard up for money or getting another Josey. I am biased but truthfully don't see many of them...
