Which pool player has the most "textbook" fundamentails??

I will say Ralf Souquet as well, but I have someone who hasn't been mentioned too...

George Breedlove has rock solid mechanics and is the most fundamentally sound I have ever seen in person...

Ralf Souquet... next...

I'd have to agree with this, although you would be IMPRESSED if you ever saw Yang from Taiwan play. He looks so solid on every shot, and makes better shots with better execution than any living human. That's all.

From what I have seen in person this year at European pool championships:

Ralf Souquet, Koshovy Artem, Konstantin Stepanov, Igor Plishkin, Karl Boyes...just to name a few.

Buddy Hall

Probably the American player with the closest to perfect mechanics. If you want to see how to properly align for a shot, get down correctly (take a proper stance) and make a perfect stroke, he's the man to watch. I have some old DVD's (from videos) of Buddy from the 80's and he just played so beautifully. He was capable of playing perfect pool for hours and hours, whether gambling or match play. Made no difference to him, his routine was always the same.

He was the Ralf Souquet of his era, Mr. Steady, always among the leaders in any tournament he played in. The odds on favorite along with Mizerak, Sigel and Strickland for years. PLus, generally acknowledged as the best money player alive until Parica showed up. :bow-down:

I have to add one name who is often left out of such discussions. RAYMOND CEULEMANS was the most solid player I ever saw at any table hitting balls. PERIOD! Harold Worst was second.

I add votes for Mr. Ceulemans in billiards and for Steve Mizerak in pocket games. Both were like mountains, solid-wise, at the table.

Scott <<== loved the "thwap!" sound of a Miz ball hitting the back of a pocket

The Miz is another good choice. He got locked down real good, and had more power in that stroke than maybe anyone before or since. I swear his cue ball could burn rubber!

Mark Wilson i have seen him on almost every shot pull the tip of his stick all the way out of his bridge hand and thread it right back through without ever hitting his fingers lol

I saw him do this once and asked him about it. He didn't know he did it! He looked at me with an incredulous look on his face and said, "Really?"

Man, woman, or child it's..................

Allison Fisher, in my humble opinion. Unbelievable mechanics!
