Which pro player has been playing with the same cue the longest?

I have been looking over some of my old accustats tapes and was just looking at how the pro's change cues. I was just curious who you think is the player who has shot with the same cue the longest, and to boot list the maker of the cue.

I hear Shane has shot with his joss since he was a little kid..but looking at my old tapes... Shannon the Cannon has played with the same black and white cue for a long while.?
 
Two Californians come to mind.
Ernesto Dominguez I think has been playing with the same Tad for decades.
Kim Davenport has been playing with his Gus for decades . He did play with Meucci for a while until the checks stopped coming ( I heard ).

I can certainly see why they are playing with those cues,nice choices and certainly keepers. :)

Kim's main cue (when he wasn't paid to play with something else) for as long as I can remember has been his Gus Szamboti cue.

I have seen Shannon with a few cues, IIRC, the guy that does SEast cues and he had an arrrangement at somr point
 
Hasn't Rodney Morris played with the same Szam for a long time?

15+ years anyway.

At least I think it is a Szam.

He played with a Fury for a short period while under sponsorship. He's had the Szam for a long time but often plays with other stuff. Funny...a recent picture of him in Inside Pool showed him wearing a Pred shirt....holding what looks to be the Szam...with a OB shaft on it.:rolleyes:

I know for a fact, though, that he has no deal with OB-1 at this time.

But I think he has been with Predator in some capacity for a while.

Kim Davenport and his Szamboti have had the longest relationship.

I noticed while playing Ramil Gallego a couple weeks back, he is using the same cue I first saw him with 10 years ago.

I never thought he'd part with his Gus cue. He played great with that cue.

In the Feb 2005 issue of Inside Pool on pages 62-63, Thomas Engert says he still shoots with the McDermott he got in 1988. The shaft was 13m when he bought it, it's now 11.3m!
