Who is the #1 most in demand cue maker in the world today?

Not

Hercek kicks out 50 a year? Wow...seems like a lot for a top tier cue maker.

Joel does 100% of all the work. From calling his list going over every last detail with the buyer then making the cue. He makes his cues in batches and one batch from the first ph. Call to delivery is 18- 24 months. A normal batch will average 25- 30 cues, so you can see it is FAR less then the 50 cues that was mentioned. His current basic cue starts at $3000. Included in that price is your choice of joint material including Ivory. All his cues are full splice including his box cues which are sleeved over a full splice forearm.Since Joel is a perfectionist and takes great pride in his work nothing leaves his shop until he is satisfied, which may mean a little longer wait on your cue but well worth the extra time. When you have a cue made by Joel you not only get a great playing cue but you also have made a new friend.

Yeah...thought 50 was a bit high. He has put out some sweet cues, that's for sure...definitely on my top 10 wish to own list!

Its definitely one of those two guys. However I am sure that there are people that have Tascarella, MOttey, White. et al on tops of their personal lists.

What I am wondering is when the last time a "custom" cue was used to win a world championship? Szamboti, Rodney Morrison? I heard a few of the Asian pro's played with South Wests but I cannot confirm that.

Doesn't Busty play with a Bear custom, or a cue from JoeyA or some such thing? At least he did for a while, wouldn't surprise me if he won a major title with one or the other.

Chao used a Gina for years. I think he won the World 9 Ball Champ with it but I could be wrong. Wu won the World 9 Ball with a South West. I remember Manolo was using something big for a while.... ebony and ivory monster cue. I wanna say it was a PFD in which case, I also wanna say... really?!

Sorry for my error on the number of cues Joel produces in a year. How ever every thing else that said of him is true he is a perfectionist, great to deal with, keeps you informed and produces works of art that play.

Tucker!

Rarer than hens teeth. Talk about bang for your buck! And the greatest thing of all is I have one!! Purple heart full splice hoppe bumper less. I don't need to understand the science of building a great cue, that's Murrys job. Playability right out of the box. No transition period to adjust to anything. As they say on Duck Dynasty, Happy Happy!
Murray Tucker.

Szams and Botis are always for sale.

I have one of the first five cues Murray Tucker ever made (back in 2000)…a fancy Cocobolo Sneaky Pete with two shafts with brown rings and collars.

I am getting a Searing shaft that I will check out with the Tucker butt to see how that plays, compared to the Tucker shafts. The Searing shaft has a black collar and silver ring which will look a bit different on the butt, so I think I will call this hybrid setup my Little Florida Sneaky Bastard.

FWIW, I don’t care what the mismatched collars will look like. I like cues for how they play.

I am sure they will.

I wonder how many he has made.
dunno i just bought a barry today , icouldnt guess how many were made . i know if you have wanted one for long time now is the time .

not hard choice for me , id take szam all day , customer service is big to me . everytime ive ever emailed or spoke to barry he has got back
in touch with the same day . sometimes maybe 2 days but thats it . he is nice ,friendly gives free advice and a all around good guy .

searing makes good cue but does not respect customers , he might have once , then i think he got the big head and ran with it . i mean
no excuses not to be in touch with someone who paid you for service , or hell just to let someone know
