Who makes STIFF hitting cues ??? Mike Bender ???

i have a roger petit that hits stiff as well. good luck finding one.
Cognoscenti's also hit stiff. mainly joint size, taper, and ferrule material will determine how stiff they hit.

The test cue with a hornbeam shaft made for me by Dmitry Martyanov is really stiff, although the joint is 1 mm thinner as usual. DBK cues are very stiff too due to hornbeam shafts and conical taper.

Many of the available cues play very firm. If something interests you email my business address and we can discuss them.
Thanks for giving me a chance to show my product.

Kieth Josey makes a great hitting cue that tends to be on stiffer side, I just picked up a new 60" tulipwood at the open that plays great would post pics if I knew how:thumbup:

Greetings,

Arnot-Q, cues with T3 shafts are solid hitting and create very good feedback. I have owned several Benders and would say that they are very similar to T3 shafts but for me the T3 had less deflection.

Regards

The T3 is amazingly stiff. My uncle has a T3 shaft on his Cognoscenti break cue. That thing is a battering ram. The T3 is by far the most solid shaft I've ever hit.

As far as a solid hitting cue, you will get a million answers. My opinion would be to focus on finding a cuemaker who's shafts have the right taper and deflection for your style of play.

The stiffest cue I ever had was a Lambros.
As we all know hit is in the eyes of the beholder(or something like that) as far as hits good I agree with Jims - Chuck Starkey is 1 of the best kept secrets as for stiff hits (I'm not sure thats good) I have had the same experience as Charlie Edwards -Mike Lambros made the stiffest hitter I ever hit

4th for Keith Josey. Not only does it take arm power to screw the cue together but shafts are always tightly grained and well tapered.

Solid Hitters

Ed Prewitt Cues, some of the best of the best being built today"
John Showman, too...
both of these men really put a cue together with such an expertise...
Pete Tasacarella cues also are very solid hitters!

Guys,
He is asking for a stiff hitting cue on a regular basis. Definitely SW, ST, Bluegrass and do not forget Dave Kikel. I got one from Jamie yesterday and oh my gosh. What an awesome hitting stiff monster.
It is even stiffer than the 2 ST I had. I am somewhat sold on the hit of a SW, Bluegrass, ST and my awesome Kikel.
Worminator still has a few for sale. I like the radial pin better from Dave Kikel.

If you want a stiff hitting cue that plays great then Mike Johnson(Jensen ) is a very good choice. Bob C.

Ron Kilby.

Uses a modified carom taper. You wont get any stiffer that that. He is a 3C guy so he comes at it from a different angle.

Steve Klein Also makes a stiff hitting cue.

I'm going to throw Wes Hunter (Hunter Classic Classic) and Eric Crisp (Sugartree) into the mix. I just picked up a new J/B cue from Wes that is as good a player as any. I actually shot in a local tournament last night at Wes's place (Mission Billiards) using the new cue. While I didn't win, I did use that cue for the whole match to include Break, Jump, and regular play. Talk about stiff and accurate. I actually overstroked some draw shots because I wasn't used to the cue. Not bad considering this is going to be my new breaker. So definitely a Hunter Classic Custom should be considered.

As far as a Sugartree you might be able to get one aftermarket. I don't think Eric is taking orders at this time.

With that in mind I still have a one-of-a-kind XBreaker for sell. See thread in F/S section.
