I love Johnny for putting Earl in his place, wish he would have made the shot though.

Earl can't be defeated with the earmuffs. Unless...... Archer has a sandwich during a pivotal rack in the match.
 
I could imagine either player showing up wearing headphones and listening to ear deafening music the whole match, maybe even do some dancing or play some air instrumentals. The best would be if someone pretended the cue was a mic and started karaoking.

I like the strickland anger but I like humor more, I think Archer will be more humorous if he sharks.
 
Hands down Earl Strickland.

Like I said on another thread he doesn't have to worry about the left eye trying to work as being dominant a little and screwing up the shot.

He's under that right eye like a telescope. Huge advantage when you add that extra foot.

Archer is in trouble here.

Earl would just have to have a terrible match overall to lose but I don't see that happening either.

These guys both know how to prepare for something like this.

Archer again like Shane plays with both eyes.

I vote Archer because Earl just got a big pay day and probably won't be to anxious for another one, I don't know about his party habits but some players I know would still need the rest of the year to recover from a party after winning the cash Earl just scored.

Even funnier instead of air singing, one of the players just starts line dancing between shots.

Best thing Earl can do is wear his muffs and sit quiet. If Johnny tries to torture Earl, he may just put himself on tilt. Earl! Muffs now! I cant wait for this match.

That's my guess also Neil, but I am hoping to just see some great pool. I think I like Archer in the 14.1, he's played alot more straight pool than Earl has over the years. I can only think of 1 14.1 event that Earl has ever played in and it was quite a while ago. The other 2 games should be kind of a pick em. Both are such great players, I am kind of looking forward to this match. I'm not taking it personal with all the Earl bashing anymore, these guys on az lost a shit ton of money on Shane, so I think they are just lashing out, it's all good I guess blaming it on sharking is just as good an excuse as any for losing=o]
 
I wouldn't be surprised if Archer and Strickland are working on a skit to keep themselves entertained for the duration of the match.

The play would go as follows, Strickland starts talking junk, Archer decides to pull out his secret weapons (line dancing country girls), Strickland counters back with (gun shooting cowboys) ... Strickland and Archer resolve their differences slowly with karaoke and air instrumentals ... however they air fight who should be the band leader and then day 2 of the matchup begins.

Dave, you hit the nail on the head. I really believe that Earl is unsharkable.....and in fact, it's like waking a sleeping giant,because he plays better when agitated..... best for Johnny to hush maybe?? But who knows what will be in store !!!!!!!Can't wait though........
