Why cut the feed on Earl during the interview?

I enjoyed watching the Shane and Earl match the last 3 nights, and I am very thankful for TAR providing this kind of opportunity. Hopefully they are getting enough support that this continues, and I was glad to give them my small contribution.

I have to ask why cut the feed during Early's interview at the end? I don't think there there was a deliberate snub, so I am not accusing anything like that. I am simply suggesting it was a little short sighted to cut the feed at that time. Perhaps there was a logistical problem even.

I think he was being very complimentary of Shane on top of talking rationally about where Shane's game is, and about his break. I would have liked to watch the rest of the interview.

I would have also. I was wondering if they saved the rest for their DVD that undoubtedly will be offered later ? Then there would be exclusive material...Tom
 
If that was the case, if it was a calculated move based on $$ through DVD sales, why didn't they cut it as soon as the interviewer started with Shane?

Earl was being a good sport and complimenting SVB's break. He was showing some real class for a change, then CUT! I'm curious who cut the feed and why?
 
I'm only speculating, but I think it might have something to do with the time. I lost the feed on the Harriman/Schmidt one pocket and 10 ball right about midnight. The feed on Earl cut out at a few minutes after midnight.
 
Score: 100-63. I can't see them deliberately cutting the feed in the middle of the interview. I think it had to be a technical malfunction. Earl was showing a lot of class, saying things like Shane had the potential to win more than 5 US Opens, beating Earl's record, etc. The entire interview would help dvd sales, so hopefully the cameras kept rolling and only the internet connections were lost.

Maybe it's something to do with their cost of streaming and their provider. If they go past midnight they're charged for another day or something like that?
 
The feed was cut due to a direct order from the joint Vast Right Wing Conspiracy and the Tri-Partite Commision in order to push DVD sales through the $10 million mark.

What really happened was in the rush of people to take photos and get autographs after the match some fleet footed fan stepped on a power strip and cut the power to our video switcher which in turn severed the connection to the encoder and recorder. So if it makes anybody feel any better not only was the feed cut but the majority of Earls interview was lost for the DVD as well. We did not find out about the cutting of the power until the interview was over. It sucks too because Earl actually came off very well.

We were able to record some of Earl kicking a little knowledge to the crowd later on though. Most of that kind of stuff will probably be posted for free on our site.

Thanks. I did not believe it was to try and sell DVD's for a second. Good job overall JCIN with the production.

Justin I wish you guys would use your Forum at TAR to impart info like this. I go there first and have to go to AZ to get info about your site. Would help me having to weed through all the topics.

LOL...must have been Grady. I think he had a few too many....

I've noticed lately that Grady has a hitch in his get-along...like his leg will give out randomly. I first noticed this at the 2007 DCC and it occured again last night.

My Dad went thru a similar issue and he required surgery to correct it. It was a pinched nerve of some sort in his back. Hope Grady isn't facing something like that.
