People read this forum for various reasons as you can see from the responses in this thread.

Some people get irritated with me because I enjoy helping people succeed in business. Fuk those people who don't like me helping others. That's who I am and I am not going to change.

Some of the mean-spirited people like Lou-zer, put me on ignore but really, he is just another liar. If you ignore someone, you would just ignore them. Spinning words doesn't change the fact that he follows me around the forums like a child.

I don't like it when haters go to hating on my friends and I must say that Lou-zer does a good job of that too. He really is what's wrong with the forum and others just like him.

If you mess with my friends mean-spiritedly, you may hear it from me, especially if they don't speak loudly enough on their own and I don't and won't apologize for that either. That's how I roll.

I don't doubt that Lou can be a gentleman nor his ability to spin a tale but he comes across like a ***** in this forum and that's ok too. Those who want to condone Lou-zer's mean-spirited behavior in order to sit at his table are entitled to have their indigestion.

For the most part, I ignore Lou-zer until he follows me around to my threads or starts talking specifically about me in other threads.

There are a few people on the forums who irritate me with their posts but I ignore their posts for the most part. I could whine ad nauseam about how some posters seldom ever do anything except agitate other posters, but it is true. Some people just get their jollies off, aggravating other people in the forums and that is primarily why this forum sags.

There are some people who just post to show how they can annoy people with their "straight talk" and I laugh at that because most of that "straight talk" would get them far worse than it gets them on this forum.

Personally, I don't see why anyone can't just ignore the things or people that irritate them and keep their mouths shut. Sure, everyone has a right to their opinions but their are far better ways to handle annoyances and that is just to keep your mouth shut, you know, ignore them.

I never intentionally target anyone without being provoked. If I do, it's only because they have chosen to stick JoeyA with the needle and sometimes I respond in kind.

The purpose of this thread was to give a clue as to why people leave this forum or post less often.

We are all supposed to love pool but if I didn't know better, I would swear that some people just love to hate on others.

Maybe, some people are frustrated with their personal lives or their business lives or their lack of friends and the forums give those frustrated people a place to transfer their anger/dislike/annoyance with lesser penalty than what they might receive from their boss, their wife, their employees, their acquaintances, their friends, their relatives and the people that they meet each and every day.

Tramp and I haven't gotten along in the past. I have long ago let bygones be bygones and enjoy the humor that he brings to the forum.

None of us have to like each other, but if we truly love pool, then we should at least try to respect each other.

Oh well, it really is up to each person to work out their own salvation.

I have been testing out a couple of new products recently so stay tuned for my opinion or just put me on ignore, like Lou-zer.

Best to one and all. ;-)

I don't know many people from AZB, and I'm not picking sides or picking on anyone, but I will point out this post above is a fine example of hypocrisy. That is all that needs to be siad.

Thank you for proving all of my points. Anything to make a sale. It isn't that i don't like seeing people succeed, but you're willing to say about anything to make a buck. After a while, i realized i couldn't take your opinion on anything here any more than i could trust McDonald's to give me an honest opinion on food.

Gotta love it.. some salesman starting a thread about being upset, then posting about people should ignore things they don't like, while tossing around insults. You should be in politics.

Great post, Joey. I had to cut back from visiting AZ. There is a forum member who I have never met who I will absolutely slap in the face if I ever meet them. That's how you know it's time to cut back. This place can be brutal.

Fugg you too!!!!

Have you ever heard the expression"
"If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem!"???

Instead of ignoring mean spirited or stupid posts directed toward someone else,
If all of the moderate members flagged the culprits and posts, the problem might subside. But probably won't happen.

Joey,

You got to use the big guns...Like This...if you're gonna make a point!

The forum is a perfect shield for keyboard commandos. They get their digs in without having to face their targets or care about the damage it does.

I can usually make one phone call and get the low down on almost any player out there if they're even on the radar... where they play, who they play with and their speed. The internet isn't as anonymous as people think.

I think about this when I post and try to show as much respect as I receive...which should go without saying.

Best,
Mike

I will take JoeyA on my side any day over all these crying beta posters on here!!!

Honestly I don't know any of these cats, but I do know one thing. JoeyA needs to listen to his own advice. He steps on his own di** advice multiple times in his last post. Just sayin... To be taken at face value you have to practice what you preach.. Glass house, and stones type of thing....

Why I am less active on az billiards

I post less and less. Why???

I think I have shown that my intentions are to improve the state of pool. I am willing to put my money where my mouth is. I have spent thousands if dollars and thousands of hours try to make things work. Yet so many 'keyboard cowboys' just insist on spewing their (often) uninformed thoughts. They have that right.

But to ignore market forces that are beyond anybody's control becomes a pointless argument. The most obvious instance is CSI decision to limit our 9' table exposure. I cannot help that the marketplace has shown no support for 9' events.

Why should I continue doing events guaranteed to lose a ton of money. Another example was the 2014 invitational event. When Ralf elected to forfeit his match. We had a very few minutes to go forward with a solution that prevented a bigger problem. We mDe a tough decision.

Bottom line - we spent $40-$50,000 and half the people calling us stupid and showing favoritism- when the only problem was Ralf decided to quit in the middle if a tournament. Pretty fought to support pro pool when you get thus lack of respect.

I am not leaving AZB but I ignore 4-5 posters. Their position never changes and they contribute very little. I believe people should have to use a known name- less anonymous posts would helpl.. And some of the argumentative posters need to grow up.

The beauty of AZB has been getting duller over time. I think too many small minded and petty people. We should all be trying to improve billiards. But reuty says differently.

Mark,
It is amazing to me that you have done so much for so long. Pool is just Pool and I wish there was something like the events that you put on in my part of the country but expenses are expenses no matter where you go and I would doubt there would be enough support to make anything fly. Id just like to see an event, none here to go to.

Mark, as I have stated many times, I respect everything you do and have done for the game. Although I personally find pro pool on 7ft tables abhorrent I hope your events are successful. You are not to blame for the pathetic state of professional pool. Also, if you ever find out what the hell Ralph was thinking please let us know.

Mark,

Great to hear from you. Hope your recovery is running at full speed. Glad to see you're as feisty as ever. Didn't stop by the office this past weekend in Vegas. Did say hello to Bill S though.

We don't always agree. Do agree with your decision to play the 8 and 10 ball Invitational events on the seven footers. It really is where the future of the game is going whether a small minority agrees or not. Not even considering the economic effects of setting up the nine footers. Hope to say hello in person in July. Incidentally, also hope I'm not on your ignore list. If I am. oh well!

There are so many things wrong it's hard to know where and when it went downhill. The mods did a poor job, members that have one agenda to stir up shit, WFS section ruined by the members then made useless by the admin, WAY too much negative content and comments, cue makers with no ethics whatsoever, perhaps it has run it's course; pool in general seems that way to me.. Guess it's time to find a new hobby, that's all pool is to me anyway.

If it's any consolation Joey, I am a big fan of yours. I just think you ought to lose a few games here and there. You know, keep your customers interested.

This has always been one of my favorite sites because of the pool stories but over the past few years there's less and less of them! I don't think it's the downfall of azb so much as it is the downfall of the internet because it's more so about making money than it is about just having fun. I think facebook has a lot to do with it and it's just an black hole of virtually useless content really.
