Why people leave the forum.....

Was this Thread originally started in innocence, or has it achieved what the OP has wanted it to do.

A Bash Lou Thread. Or just turn it into a Bash Your Least Favorite Poster Thread.

Makes ya wonder eh. The first post seemed sincere enuff, and then when the time was right, the OP added a Bash Lou Post.

I have always thought Petey was a great guy and still do. Not going to dislike him because of his opinion on one or two members. That is his stuff.

I have good Buddies and we don't always see eye to eye. That doesn't make us less Buddies. We just don't push each others buttons. Unless we are playing pool, then no holds barred.

Myself, I always liked Lou's stories that he wrote, Cat Pool's also and a few others.

I have always gotten along with Lou pretty well. But, he still hasn't given me any info on Blue Book Aliens yet.

Agree with Duckies opinion on a certain poster too. Had to add my 5 cents if that is what is intended for this Thread.

Over the years, I have seen annoying posters come and go. Lots of good Threads that were most likely purposely derailed. That has to Piss the OPs off.

Yet, as many times as I have found myself somewhat annoyed at either certain posters or Threads, I have always found more compelling reasons to continue hanging out rather than pack it in.

But, life is choices, yes?

One post and I stepped into deeep sheyeeit!

First off, JoeyA's character is beyond reproach. I have been in the same pool hall for countless hours and know that Joey speaks truth, never saw him clubbing a baby seal or making any effort to. Other things he has done reflect very highly on him also. I consider Joey a gentleman and a friend on and off the table.

Lou is more of an internet friend but in truth has never been anything but a friend to me. I can't say a thing bad about Lou either. Based on my dealings with him I'd say he is a first class guy.

Two friends of mine going at it made me think the smartest thing to do was not log in and acknowledge I saw the replies to my post. I know that Lou peed in Joey's Cheerio's, I don't know exactly how. Reflects well on Joey that he has kept what happened private.

The red riffle has never intentionally done me wrong. The little worm tried, none of my friends would help him out! He unintentionally caught me up in the net when he screwed a pool hall near me. Happens he screwed Joey with the same deal. Joey doesn't remember wrongs as well as I do and having known jamie a lot longer probably wrote that off as jamie being jamie.

Anyway, wanted to make plain, in my book Joey and Lou are both good folks, never did me wrong, never tried to, and I have played pool with both of them. They are both always welcome at my door for as long as they want to stay. Maybe best not at the same time though! :thumbup:

Hu, if it sounded like I was Hating on Joey, no way. We have always gotten along just fine.

It was just an observation or something that made me wonder the actual intent of the Thread.

And of course, I felt strongly enuff to post my feelings. That is about all it is.

I'll head back over to NPR. You know that we never argue over there, right.

There is nothing that I would love more than to go fishing with ya Hu. Beer will be involved, right?

Maybe you could show me how to rope them Gators too. Catch a few Diamond Backs and Cotton Mouths. Needs new pair of boots I do.

Lets just say that is on my Bucket List.

Should work out just fine. I'll drink the beer, you can rope the gators and play with the cottonmouths. After a half case or so of beer I'll be full of advice!

Was going to school with a boy, he was waiting to turn I believe seventeen with parental consent to join the Marines. Kind of a gungho fella. He and a friend were running a trotline one night and of course staying properly lubricated. A fair sized gator was running their trotline too and the future Marine decided to do something about it. Pulls out his hunting knife and jumps on the gator's back!

Well being more than a little under the influence and not really a swamp boy anyway he didn't realize that what he was looking at sticking out the water as the gator swam was the snout and about the middle of the back which he mistook for he tail. The four foot gator he was clowning around pouncing on was about twice that long! The God that watches over fools and drunks was watching out for him that night and he actually got an arm around the gator's throat and stayed on his back. Another miracle, they didn't get all balled up in the trotline.

The boy eventually killed the gator, a federal offense if caught. Big time fine and maybe a little vacation time when they are not taken properly. He was still in bed, the boy not the gator, when I visited him a few days later. He was wearing shorts and when he pulled back the covers everything was black and blue from hairline to toes that wasn't covered by the shorts! Seen some guys after 140mph wrecks but never seen quite so thorough a bruising again. No real damage done but about six layers of brash removed from the youngster.

From what I can tell this down slope is almost a direct correlation to the WFS section. That is the biggest change, and there has been a lot of resistance.

As far as trolls, posting issues, fights, etc.. you do realize that it is the occasional train wreck that gets most the views? I think all the John/Lou prematch, post match views were probably 10-20% of all thread views for a certain period.

When is the last time you saw someone post good content? Honestly, try to think about when is the last time you saw anything worth reading, in any sub-forum. I can't think of many threads and they certainly haven't been anything from the AzB regular hypocrites.

I think it is safe to say that I have played more strangers who have come looking for a pool game than anyone at my home pool room and probably more than most, who have never been on the road. Taking advantage of family men for large sums of money should be left to the Lou Figueroas of the world. Using other people's money to do your dirt simply speaks more volumes about LOU-ZER's character.


You are also not likely to see me trying to slander good and decent people who are trying to make a living and trying to make the pool world a better place (like LOU-ZER) continues to do.

I'll leave this thread with what I started it with. People leave this forum because they see the slimy, putrid way that people talk and hound one another on this forum. I'm ashamed that I have to get down in the mud and call a spade a spade but sometimes you just can't hold your tongue.

To those who are repulsed by my description of LOU-ZER'S character, I apologize, but people should know the truth. It stinks and I don't like responding to the taunts by LOU-ZERs of the forum so I won't be posting in this thread anymore but I'm sure the LOU-ZERS of the forum will continue to beat the drums hoping to lure me back in.

As most everyone knows about me, I bet my own money. I stand on my own two feet and I don't allow small-minded people with vengeance on their mind to influence who or what I play for. On very rare occasions I have allowed acquaintances to stake me in games that they create. I don't like friends to stake me because I don't want to see them risk their money.

Unlike LOU-ZER, I don't run around the country going to different pool rooms whining like a spoiled child that I could not find anyone to gamble with. That's real NIT TALK. :killingme::killingme::killingme:

It depends upon what you see as good content. For some it may simply be a thread on soft versus medium cue tips. For another it may be how low deflection shafts affect cue ball action. You can't, with any degree of accuracy, lump all posts into a good, or bad category.
Since this is a forum, every post is equal (technically) under the definition of what a forum is. What you see is what you get.
 
Joey Aguzin is as good of a man as anyone could be in my book, the fact that he has no fear of telling people what is on his mind solidifies that. He, like me and several others on this forum have seen and dealt with Lou-zer long before AZB even existed, back in the days of RSB and ASP. I'll guarantee you that you can count the number of people who have had issue with Joey on one hand. As for Lou you have to start lining people up and telling them to take off their shoes and start counting fingers and toes. FWIW, this place is gasping its dying breaths, face it, its reality. That's mainly due to Facebook and it being easy to deal with idiots like Lou and PJ. It's really no different than when AZB forums came about and replaced the UseNet forums, pretty much the same exact thing, someone built a better mousetrap.

By your logic, "technically," all posts are good content.

I don't enjoy reading today's newspaper that has articles from last year's newspaper.
A soft vs. medium cue tip thread, is not good content, when it's been discussed ad nauseam.

AzB has changed tremendously, in the past few years. There is no camaraderie on AzB. If someone asks about a new shaft, people instantaneously blast them for being a APA SL4 that doesn't need a new shaft, then argue until one says they need to gamble to settle the debate....Good content? A bunch of hypocritical nitwits is what I think.

This thread started as a jab at some members. There's no need for that nonsense. The same can be said for the group of members that continually advertise and spam their business in every possible way, without ever contributing to the content of this forum. Posting "My Ginacue hits lights out!" is not good content. Dr. Dave is one the last to post meaningful content and even he is met with opposition.

And before anyone gets their panties in a twist, I'm not ranting... I'm just telling it like it is :o

I agree 100%.

The only thing I can't figure out is why everybody is complaining when AZB is "free". I didn't do a forensic count like other people do on here to prove a point, but, from what l see, most of the complainers have free accounts.

If they were paying for something, it may be a different story.

Az is a great service which is why I decided to become a Gold Member. Im not sure Az should be free, If people enjoy something they should want to support it and give a crap about it...free sometimes doesn't allow for that.
