I've been with my wife for 20 years so this advice isn't coming from a kid. I too have a daughter and she's the most important person in my life. Nothing is close. With that in mind, I'd advise you to give her HER cue with a smile on your face. These small items are not going to soothe your ego about this failed marriage anyway. You may get temporary satisfaction, but will it advance your desires when dealing with custody? Unequivocally, no!! After all, gettin an equitable custody agreement should be your ONLY concern.

It can be tough but I think that Uwate's Mom gave the best advice to him.
When it comes down to it, its only stuff, and stuff can be replaced.
Our lives can get too cluttered up anyway.
I don't know if you can do this in the USA, but Canada yes. If you can persuade the soon to be Ex, to an amicable divorce, you should be able to download any legal documents and fill them out yourselves.
You wait the specified amount of time for the separation and then file the divorce papers.
As long as you can split everything to each others liking.
My Buddy just went thru a very lengthy and costly divorce which involved a lot of heart ache for him. In the end, the Lawyers were just playing off each parties emotions and raking in the bucks. Without getting into unnecessary detail re my Bud, I can assure you that the lawyers were inventing new things to go back to court for just to prolong the windfall.
His ex didn't have a penny to pay her lawyer so it was my Bud that paid her lawyer in the end with the settlement.
Even if you have to get rid of the War Face for a year or so, put on a Smile and in the end, walk away a Free Man. You will have your Dignity and hopefully a little cash in the account as well.
BTW, in case you haven't realized it yet, Divorce can rob a Person of Their dignity, money and turn you into a bitter person for a long time.
My Father also gave me similar advice to me as Uwate's Mom when I was going thru a divorce. My Mom was dying of cancer. My Dad just told me that I had much more to think about and to let it go. I did and let it slide and came out ok in the end.

And hey don't let any thing she does get you down. I know it's hard to do. I have been there done that. 10 years ago.... My ex wife (12 yrs married) thought she was on top of the world when we split up (caught her screwing around on me while I was at work)..... 6 months later she was telling me how it was the worst decision she ever made... well bummer for her. Now she is with a big fat slob, she is a big fat slob just like him, and both of them are penny-less. I am in the best shape of my life and have the best looking girl in town

Don't be petty, if its a mutual divorce where you both just cannot work it out then let her keep it since it was a gift anyway and it legally is hers. If she cheated then I would say keep it, actually I would sell it and go have some "fun" with the dough.
