Will someone please go slap whoever is in charge of streaming @ galveston

Hopefully in the end it will all goes as planned in Glaviston, everyone will be paid per advertising, and plans for a 2010 event will move forward.

Honestly the DCC is a great event from what I hear, but Galviston, Texas in Summer with NO SNOW & ICE STORMS Like Indiana in January seem like it could be a hot ticket.

Maybe the can get INFOCUS Fast Lenny to Stream it.

This may have been said already but the tournament bracket for the one pocket says the final will be played on Thursday. If Efren wins two matches today he doesnt play again until Thursday at 9:00 pm. That seems like a long time to wait to play one set imo. Maybe it's a misprint and it's really Tuesday.

Like you would ever pay the money to go to any of these events, hell, you're not willing to pay $25 for some of the most amazing money matches of all time. You've lost all credibility when it comes to having an opinion on streams. Once again, good luck in you're running for "Nit of the Year", you're still in the lead buddy.

The feed was bad so I turned it off. I'm not going to really complain because it's a free feed, I just simply won't watch it if it is unwatchable. I buy EVERY PPV. This includes TAR, accustats, Mosconi Cup, etc...

In fact, I don't think I've missed a ppv of any sort in the last 3 years. I don't get to watch all of them but I don't mind paying for good quality pool when I get the chance to watch it nor do I mind supporting those that bring the feeds.

I don't even know why anyone would stream for free anyway. I would stop streaming completely if I saw people that never pay for the ppv's complaining about my free streaming.

That being said, the feed yesterday looked like the Blair Witch Project. Maybe Tony C. was streaming it or one of his customers had the camera in their hand.

Oddly enough, those who watched the Parica vs Efren one pocket easily could have been puking before you. The video literally was evoking motion sickness. If you watched it, I no doubt believe that you would have also added your displeasure at the video quality, free or otherwise.

It was atrocious Stu. No quesiton about it. Fans complain because they want something to cheer for. I think the complaints were heard, as the next match was much better.

The venom can be subdued, but the criticism should not. Without feedback, there can be no improvement. And it clearly needed improvement. Surely you agree with that. Continued Cloverfield-style pool broadcast could be devastating to the relatively new venture of online streaming.

Fred

Point well taken, Fred. Had the initial post read as follows:

"Though delighted by the advent of the Galveston Classic and appreciative of those who made it happen, I am very disappointed in the quality of the internet stream, and urge those in control to make every effort to improve it, as presently it does not provide a positive viewing experience."

Now that's feedback that might be taken seriously.

Instead, the tone of the initial post was that somebody should form a lynch mob to ensure that those guilty of this inestimable atrocity are brought to justice. Sorry, Fred, but that's unacceptable to me, and anybody who thinks that this kind of feedback has any place in our game is, in my view, mistaken.

I tend to watch my pennies like many SMART people in this recession.

What amazing money matches are you taking about ? Living on a small fixed income I tend to watch my,

Well you keep watching your pennies and i'll keep watching the streams like alot of other members here who support the sport we love. Which one you think is doing more to help, the $25 we all pay or your nitty ass posts complaining that streams aren't free?

If you were paying my bills or I was working for you, than you might be able to tell me how to live my life. I don't tell you how to live your life, so please don't think you can tell me how to live my life that includes supporting YOUTH POOL in the Valley of the Sun.

Trust me, I have absolutely no interest in your life. From what i've been told from everyone in AZ, you dont have much of one and the evidence that you've been banned on here before for all of your ridiculous posts only validates their statements. My sole intent was for you to grasp the concept that when you talk about streams and their value or need, no one listens and to make sure you knew that you are the textbook definition of a complete NIT.

I want some BAN-PROOF armor...

To be perfectly honest, it's happened more than once.

He's one of the few posters here who is completely "unbannable".

I checked out the stream also. It wasn't watchable, so I turned it off.

They got the picture cleared up. The commentary was very clear. The camera work and placement was b-,c....imo.

It became much easier to watch as the day progressed.

The stream has improved and I think it will get better as the week progresses. Overall I have had a very positive impression of things. I think by the end of the week it will be up to speed.
