Do they know anything about bacon up there? :p

Best of luck, Terry. Give'em hell!

They sure do!

Met a Sask girl in Denmark that worked at a pig farm. Iirc, SK has some pig farming going on up there, too. All of the kids at the farm would giggle when I said 'pig' because it sounds about the same as the Danish word for penis.

Go get em, Terry!

Play good terry!
I hope to see you in person :)

I think the venue this year could be very cool....
Having the biggest bar box tourney in western Canada at a casino should be neat :)

Our team ended up in first place this half pre Christmas season. 1st and 2nd place teams skip the play offs and go directly into the finals.

Today we play for a trip to Edmonton Canada to play in the Western Canadian Championships.

I have no idea why I can play pool not half bad and when it comes to a tourney, I can get a few butterflies but this morning, I feel like a nervous Nellie.

I usually play last, so when its a close set, I go into it knowing how many points I need to make. Nothing like putting the pressure on. Yee Haa, here we go.

The tourney format was changed this year so instead of a Round Robin, total points, we are doing a double knock out.

Have a great Day Guys.

You are the one person I believe is always up for the challange.

Thanks everybody, I really appreciate the sentiments.

We played well today. Took a few games to get the fire going.
We lost our first match, put a 30 point spread on the second place team in our second match and lost the third.

I was going to mention something about handicaps and tournaments which apparently a few teams have mastered the fine art of being 6s and 7s and when the playoffs and tourneys start, they magically become professional players. But that is after they get spotted 16 plus points per match.

But that would sound like sour grapes.

We played well as a team and had a great day. We had some downs along with our ups and the best part is, is that everyone tried their best.

When we left, the 5th and 6th place teams were playing for the trip. Last year, the last place team won the trip. They were getting spotted 24 points per match.

Maybe I will have to see if I can make some whine outta them sour grapes.

Darcy, I have a good Bud in Edmonton that played with us. Two of us on the team will be coming anyway. We will pick up one other player from our division and pick up my Buddy in Edmonton for the team part.

So, unless the world ends before the 14th, we will most likely be there. Will you be working the tournament doing repairs or just playing. Either way, I will hunt you up at some point. I think DaveK from Saskatoon will be there as usual so you better get the guys to order extra beer.

Good luck. Treat it like a regular league match, no extra pressure.

Aye !

Westerns are at the River Cree Casino this year for whoever it was that asked.

Terry, I'll be up there for the 14th because increadible as it sounds, I was asked to play in the Scotch Doubles event  I look forward to seeing you my friend, and Sheila too (I assume she will be with you).

Oh ya, we finished in 5-6 in our little tourney this weekend and did not win rooms at the Casino either :frown:

Dave

PS this year for the top division we decided to do away with handicaps altogether (none durign league play or tournament play) .... I like it

Second, Good Luck!
Third, Quit being such a wuss and suck it up! (I had to say something that I thought your sense of humor would appreciate!)

Seriously though, best of luck to ya, I'm sure you'll do fine.
