Maybe pool should take something from baseball w how they mud up the new balls before using them.
Or, take something from football, and slow down the balls by deflating them

Nice USA shirts.
Waleed has "Sandcastle Billiards" on his shirt, is that a plug for Ed Liddawi's billiard room in Edison, NJ?
That table is waaaaaaay too fast. No team has really played shape well at all. IMO between, the wooden rack and the ice surface speed of the table is why nothing is going on the breaks. The balls are just sliding into the rail when hit, and/or the spot is in the wrong place or the cloth was cleaned with the wrong stuff. That table is in no way playing anywhere near a Diamond. Fix it. It's not just the hot lights. Johnnyt
The 9 ball is on the spot, not the 1. Probably explains the tough breaking.
Disagree.
Indonesia had that table pegged. They played pretty awesome on it.
This just should not happen on a proper table.
The follow held on his CB beyond the second rail, then grabbing to arc into the middle pocket, which is an impossible shot from that angle with outside english.
Here's the shot:
I have seen it when the OB is nearer the pocket, but the 1 ball was nearly a foot away. It penalizes the power shot players because it distorts all the natural angles significantly.Colin, I have seen those scratches on a Diamond before, but not on a Brunswick.
I hate Diamond :grin-square:

A couple of games before Niels powered up with inside to go 3 rails and nearly scratched in the corner. The usual angle the CB would travel on that shot is about 1 diamond past middle pocket.
Because the spin takes much longer to grab, the power shots become far less controllable.
We could make the same arguments about adapting to conditions or it being the same for both players if tennis pros were put on a mud court, or a glass court, but I'm sure the game would suffer and the players would protest.
I think it's a serious issue and the pros should make a stand about attempts to make the main tourney tables closer to practice conditions.
