World Straight Pool Updates from New Jersey

It surprises me that Dave Daya is out. I cought some of his last round robin match, and he's something special. His patterns and cueball control seemed flawless. And he played with a great quick Mosconi-like rhythm.

Thanks for the update, sorry you lost. You seem like one of the good guys, appreciate your sharing.

Steve, I enjoyed watching you play. You obviously know what you're doing out there. It was nice meeting you.

Lipsky had one of his better performances, losing 150-2. Chavez played very well - better than all other players in the 10:00 round combined LOL. (I had nothing better to do but watch the other matches).

Well - I found a way to be miserable after an otherwise good tournament. And there it is.

You still the man! & the working man! Well done. You now have permission to not hit balls in your sleep.

This guy is an animnal. He never plays on Diamonds, never played straight pool (allegedly) and i understand he is a ball better now than he was 10-15years ago.

His stroke is shoing NO signs of deterioratng-Long and dead straight, staying down on every shot. Most guys over 45 yip a little (at least) on every shot. Not him, not a sign. Plays his best pool dead tired too.

We have a thread in our german billiards forum... the drawing:

14.00 Immonen vs Ouchan
11.30 Engert vs Ortmann
11.30 Deuel vs See
14.00 Bustamate vs Harimann
14.00 Chavez vs Feijen
11.30 Schmidt vs Dechaine
11.30 Hohmann vs Souquet
14.00 van den Berg vs Jentsch

I think the drawing is very strange... german vs. german...

Greeting

Stephan

EDIT: Sorry guys, I haven't the time today for updating this thread... maybe you can have a look in the german billiards forum (link is below), there is a (very nice) guy who post the results there!

Thanks for the link! Haven't checked that forum for months :embarrassed2:

I suppose that the draw you have put up is not the way it is on the sheet, because I think that Feijen would be on the upper-bracket, not the lower-bracket, and that Bustamante/Harriman would be in the lower-bracket, not upper-bracket.

But thanks for the draw anyway!

Sure some exciting matches. Pretty cool that Dominic Jentsch is keeping up with the "old" guys

EDIT: Looks like the Germans are updating pretty often on their forum, and also telling which player at the table all the time. Great! Once again, thanks for the link (Or am Tisch = Ortmann at the table :))

Very impressive, Jasmin makes the final 16! What happened to Sigel? Kind of a shame about him.
