Would These Be the top 8 in the USA?

Names mentioned here would make for a very entertaining round robin tourney. Every player play every other player 10 games. alternating breaks. I suppose in the interest of time, the game would have to be either 8 ball, 9 ball, or maybe 10 ball. Could be done in 2, maybe 3, days?

Winner determined by number of games won...

Now, who's going to fund and put on this dream tourney of mine? ;)

Too bad Donny Mills doesnt play in more tournaments. I get the feeling I might replace Charlie Williams with Donny, but since he's got his own gig going on and not much into traveling, we'll never know.

Hes too busy beating my nuts in just about every sunday................. lol

Now if had a list of the nittiest American pool players, Donny would be up there.....:thumbup:

i kid, i kid.....

My thought's exactly.. Mills is very underrated but like you said he doesn't play as many tournaments. Nicest pool player I have ever talked to as well.

Agree 100%..... Fantastic player, very humble, and has been very helpful to me personally. Its much appreciated.

I was thinking more 9 & 10-ball tournaments...there are more of them. And I'm talking now, not 10 years ago. Johnnyt

PS: Like it or not CW belongs on that list.

What if?

IMHO, if the "Pearl" spent a week with John "Get Back Jack" Madden at Jack's digs in St Ignatius, Montana, and let Jack work with him in the same manner as top pro golfers, i.e., Tiger and Phil work with their select "swing coaches",
he would come away able to beat anyone on your list!

In no order:

1. Archer
2. SVB
3. Morris
4. Deuel
5. Hatch
6. Moore
7. Harriman
8. Putnam

My top eight would be:

SVB
Johnny Archer
Rodney Morris
Dennis Hatch
Corey Deuel
Charlie Williams
Earl Strickland
Gabe Owen
Shawn Putnam
Oscar Dominguez
Stevie Moore
Mike Davis
John Schmidt
Danny Harriman
Kim Davenport
Donnie Mills

I can think of a few more, but since I've got to limit it to eight, that's my list.

Wait, is that more than eight?
