Wow Kind of Suprised to See This !!

Why should it be up to one or two players to salvage the tour? As far as JL, show me one player on the tour who has done more for the sport than she has done. I'm not saying she should or shouldn't do it, but she has no obligation to do anything. And I don't know her personal financial situation, but I would be surprised it there is any professional pool player with the kind of resources to start up and run a successful tour.

Steve

I was more or less joking about JL, but w/o the WPBA Tour no one would have any idea who she was=NO sponsorship money or any of the other things she does or promotes to make money. Johnnyt

They need to hire a new PR Man. Their current one sucks!
It's a little hard to do PR when you have an inferiority complex. That press release was demeaning to the women players who will be playing in the U.S. Open. I'm beginning to see why their tour is falling apart. Something is lacking in the leadership area, that would allow such a statement about their players to go out to the media.

One of the biggest advances in professional pool the last 10-15 years has been the level of play of the women competitors. They have risen to the point where it is feasible for them to compete on the same playing field with the men. To deny that fact now, is not fair to the players who have worked so hard to get where they are.

There exists an opportunity for pool to become a major sport internationally. Hopefully someone will have the far sight and expertise to put it together. A professional tour where there is gender equality and total non discrimination by sex is the best possible future for the sport of pool. I hope I live to see that day.

Is the same person still the President of the Board and WPBA?

Will Steve Tipton still be the Tournament Director for their next non-event?

No, Steve is playing in the next event! It's his way of protesting the women playing in the U.S. Open. He will have to wear a wig and a dress though. No problem, he already has both. :ignore:

I wish Jasmin gambled...

You know what I will do. I will tell Chris that he got $ 500 action the first time he will ever play Jasmin in a 8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball or 14-1 tournament match.

Chris, where are you, you nit???

Just wanted to confirm here that Chris Bartram the Nit has agreed to this bet.

If Jasmin and Chris will ever meet in a tournament-match, we have a $ 500 bet.

Chris is however a true nit, pu$$y and locksmith, so he backed out of the 14-1 part, and is only on for 8-ball, 9-ball and 10-ball.

I love Jasmin's game, but if Chris is gambling with her I'll bet on him. Even if it's a tournament match. If he bets $500 on himself, so will I.

The bet was open to Chris only, and he has accepted.

She doesn't gamble, so it has to be in a tournament match.

She has beaten better players than Chris, and lost to far worse, so it's a gamble. I like my chances.

I don't know about tournament match, but when it comes to gambling, I will say Chris has advantage. I'm sure there are people who will back me up that not all great tournament players also make great gambler.

It takes different mind set and different pressure - even if players are being backed.

Chris is too seasoned of gambler - and has proved over and over that he is not afraid to match up with anyone. But most importantly, he hardly cracks under a pressure and delivers consistent performance.

If Jasmin, who usually doesn't gamble grew a wild hair and matched up with Chris, I will say me money is on Chris.

Oh, dude, do I have to post when I bet on you?

S.

So now I'm barred, after you robbed me eight or ten times!
We can bet a dinner then. You get to pick the restaurant if you win. Has to be on site wherever we see each other though.

You can post with Mark. I trust him. ;)

Perhaps a bald Lil Red Riding Hood from the Hood can play as well?

Ok, I'll bet you a dinner then.

If I lose the bet I hope we will meet in Manila. If I win I will order lobster at DCC
