WPBA payouts?

I have noticed the payouts form the recently completed WPBA event in Atlanta have not been released.

Any idea what the payouts were - and why they are not available.

I believe the field was filled at 64 (although there were a couple of no-shows).

In the past, the figures often became available, but often through secondarly sources (like magazines).

Due to their present state of affairs, I believe they halved their fee for this event, likely resulting in reduced payouts. Better a half loaf than none I guess.

i did hear the payouts would be less, that is why some of the girls decided not to attend, just wasnt worth it

You'll probably have an idea of the payout in November when ESPN shows Jasmin accept the big check. They really haven't shown the payout for a couple of years now. Somebody mentioned the normal "Classic" payout in a stream at the beginning of the year and it sounded like it hadn't changed any since they stopped announcing it.

I believe 1st place use to be 15k and 2nd was 8k. I have no idea what it is now. Maybe the next tournament in upstate NY will be back to the normal payouts. Johnnyt

If you want to see the payouts for any of the WPBA events, you can:
- go to the AzB HOME page and
- click on the "PLAYERS" button at the top, then
- click on "Player Finder" at the left, then
- look up any player who finished in the money at that event, then
- click on the name of the event in that player's list of money winnings.
