Well will you take the challenge from Billy Ms. Fisher? The challenge has been out there for three days now. Five-thousand pool fans here on AZ Billiards want to know, and thousands more around the world. You have a huge fan base around the world because you are a champion and a class act. I ask you to please not let the best thing to happen to pool since THE COLOR OF MONEY slip away from all of us. Johnnyt (big fan of yours)

If you stop and think about it, there is little for Allison to gain from a match such as the one proposed. $5,000? Whoopty-doo :rolleyes: . That's more than likely "chump-change" to her anyways. What people would really like to see is a big-money challenge between Allison and Karen, race to 21 or more. Even better would be a match between Allison and Jean Balukas (of course, if Jean was still at the top of her game, which is a little late for that now).
You can go to many an Open tourney and find top-tier women playing matches against players of the likes of Billy Incardona (meaning NO DISRESPECT to Mr. Incardona, but on any given day there are hundreds of players that can play his speed).
Hell, why not just pit Allison against Shane for big-money and get it over with.
For the record, and so I don't have to edit this post later, I believe that Billy Incardona is one hell-of-a pool player. And I suck at it. I just don't think that Allison has much to gain from this challenge, IMO.
I hesitate to hit the Submit Reply button on this post for fear of getting the holy crap flamed out of me. Oh well, what the heck :rolleyes: !!!

Another match between Karen and Allison

Turn on ESPN, you can watch them play what seems like everyday. Did you see the one on yesterday, it was awful. Allison couldn't make 3 balls in a row and Karen wasn't playing great either. Maybe they are bored with each other

I would love to see Allison vs. someone like Shane in a race to 100. The best male against the best female to see where they would stand. Their is a lot of talk on here about how much better male players are, this would be a chance for Allison to show where she actually does rank. Of course, shane has badly beaten the men he has played, but I think something along these lines would be a great match.

Of course, I highly doubt Alison will ever read these posts. Of course Varney could be asked to relay the challenge to Allison as I believe he changes her tips.

I don't believe that she reads the forums, however I know that she does get info from someone if there is something going on that has her name attached to it. Maybe only when it is something big or really good or really bad, not sure on that but she does know alot of the time.
 
I would like to see the match for sure and Kelly Fisher just posted last week that she checks out AZ so maybe Allison will hear the challenge soon.

If this was winner breaks Allison would be lucky to get more then 40 games if this happend. She simply does not have the multiple game runout potential to keep up with the top male players. She can run a rack or two, but in a match like this against SVB she is going to see 6 packs+ put on her without her getting out of the chair and in no way does she have an answer for that kind of offense.

If Allison had Larry Nevel breaking for her, then it might actually be intersting.

Allison vs Billy would be a close match. But would be a waste of time playing shane.

So her and Billy can play some one-pocket or straight pool. then the break isn't as issue.
Obviously, whe would never play him in 1P, but it would be an intersting 14.1 match.

allison/billy would be a great game i think don't get me wrong, but in general the difference between the women and men is much more than the break. not to say that it'll be like that forever, but it is now.

i do hope somebody gets the message to her though, if it came off it'd be a great match for the ol' PPV from the action report.

actually i think she'd just glance at it and wonder why the hell somebody has written in all capitals and skip reading it. and what the hell has your time in england got to do with you wanting to get under your fellow AZer's skins by insisting posting in an annoying, grating way?

What if I went round shouting everything i say in real life, and when prompted i just said "i'm not angry really, i'm just exercising my right to shout just for the sake of it - it's a free country we live in". It would be stupid.

Someone already said we need people, companies, fans and just plain money to make this happen. It has been on going for some time, I think i can make this happen. I may even make a neww thread and ask what can be done as far as support from people like us who really would like to see this. I have spoken to both Alison and Johnny Archer. and both are willing to look at the options of a battle of the sexes race to 100. Johnny even said he would give Allison a few racks head start. So here is what I am seriously putting up here on a new thread just to get an idea of where we really are on this. The enthusiasm is there, not only on here but all over. If I was to ask for a commitment of $5.00 from each of you and I would produce & promote the event and have it live on the internet for free viewing (two days maybe) how many of you would actually email me and say yes I'm in? Lets see as just a tester, mortgagemark@cox.net email me if you would be willing and depending on the response I will get to work on this and do everything to make it happen. I will give all of you who respons sufficient evidence of my legitamacy by showing other business dealing, restamonials etc that i am not trying to scam but if I can get the $$$ even if I make ) myself I will make it happen. You guys were right they do both have $$ and don't do anything cheap. Let me know,

Um you may want to check the results of the DCC 9 ball event, she beat some men, but so what? Im sure Venus Williams can beat a club pro or two as well, but Allison against the top men....forget about it.
