You know whats worse than losing $10,000 playing pool???

sorry to hear that my friend......when I go visit Ill tear up the place and find it.....thats actually a forte of mine....finding stuff.

No BS....when I was working that job for apache, I had to go to a oil/gas recieving station on the edge of the marsh.

My buddy had this specific tool laying out the night before and told me he thought the coons (racoons lol) got to it.....sneaky little bastards like shiny stuff.

I'll be damed if I don't look around for a few hours and the tool is chilling where the coons are always at!

They took our stuff and went play lol.....

That's a bad roll. Don't be so careless next time, cash is king. You should know better Fatboy!

Well I'm hoping that in the rush to leave Vegas for LA, you set it on a table while packing,...thinking it was packed...and it will be there upon your return .
Hope so anyway...
I lost a grand once at a car wash, had it in the glove box, unlocked...and two days later realized it was missing. Went back to the wash and inquired about it only to be quized as to why I had a grand in my glovebox ... I just wrote it off, thinking maybe the thief would have a heart attack while smoking all that free crack......sigh...
%&*^ Happens...
I'm hoping you find it back in Vegas...if not, it will probably never happen again...

Something like this....

Cripes, I'd have a heart attack if someone let me hold that stack for a minute.

I hope you just had a brain fart and it comes back to you. Its probably where you left it at your place in Vegas.

Consider it a charitable contribution, and you just changed someone's life.

You will feel better. They think your an angel.

Hmmmm

Fatboy,

That is $3K more than Uncle Billy lost !! But things worked out for him in the end !! Anyone know what movie Uncle Billy lost 7 large, but it all worked out in the end even though the money was never returned to them? Maybe u will be so lucky too !!

Eric i know exactly what your going through. I have lost 3 gold chains and 1 gold and diamond ring in the past year. I believe 1 was stolen from the house by a worker. As for the others one might of fallen off my wrist. the other 2 just disappeared from the house without never being found.
So its hurt 4 times. I just can't dwell on it because it will drive me nuts and i'm halfway there anyway.
Some of you must think i am a complete dork but i know 1 chain was on my nightstand and disappeared when i looked for it again. I was ill at the time and think it could of been thrown out with tissues.
Geting angry just witing this.

We can hope so...maybe on top of a toilet tank? You take a leak before hitting the road? I've left stuff there. Set it down to flush, then walk away.

its gone, cant fine it in Vegas either, poof its gone....:angry::angry:

That was my thought too. Did you wrap it in a newspaper and leave it on the bank counter? I'll bet ole man Potter has it!!!

Seriously, that's a tough beat and it's worse because you did it to yourself. I can empathize, done it many times to myself but never for ten large. I won about a thousand playing poker at a casino last year and only got home with about $700. Probably dropped three benjamins on the floor somewhere along the way. Sucks!

Hoping you find your dough.

Mike

Is it the money or the foolishness you feel after you do something like this, that bothers you more.

After winning the Senior Event at The BCAPL in Las Vegas. I went out to my car, carrying more things than I should have and left my plaque on top of my rental and drove off. Luckily for me, I retrieved it. I don't think you'll be as fortunate. Sorry.

I also left my car door wide open in the parking lot. My cues were in the trunk. I've been blessed. Nothing was taken.

My dad had cashed his check and tucked the cash in his Bible. We were on our way to a Bible study and while he was loading us kids in the car he put his Bible up on the roof of the car. We were a few miles away from home on the main st of town when the Bible flew off the car. Money was flying everywhere on main st. We watched in horror as my mom and dad stopped traffic to run and grab the money. Two motorcycle gang looking guys stopped and got off their motorcycles to "help". Luckily my mom thought they were helping because if she realized they weren't it would have gotten really ugly.

My dad chased them on foot for a couple blocks as they made off with the cash on their motorcycle. My parents only got $150 of it While us kids were bawling in the back seat.

Fatboy, thats a bad roll, sorry to hear that.

I have one more bad beat story to throw in here (mine had a happy ending). I went to a 24 hour post office. Actually, the 24 hour portion is automated, so there wasn't anyone around at the hour I was there. I used my credit card to send a package, took my wallet out, did my business and...left my wallet on the machine. Now, because I lost my wallet in the past, I no longer keep money in it, hoping that someone will return it or just leave it where they found it.

Luckily, a decent guy found my wallet, found my biz card inside and called me. I wanted to talk him out to lunch, just to say thank you, and he wouldn't accept anything. Hopefully, you have a happy ending too.

My guess (hope) is that you left it in your Vegas house/garage. Good luck.

Eric
