If you could have any 4 people join you in a 9-Ball ring game who would you choose and why? I chose the following because they have made a huge impression on me sometime during my life and I would love to visit with them. Not in any significant order.

1). ?Little Louie? Aparicio Major League Short Stop. He was my baseball idol while growing up when he was in Chicago. http://www.baseball-reference.com/a/aparilu01.shtml

2). Elvis Presley ? I know it?s cheesy but I still love his voice. http://www.elvis.com

3). Rudolf ?Rudy? Wanderone aka Minnesota Fats. He did more to promote the game of pool than anyone in my lifetime. IMO. I just don?t understand why I cannot find a website dedicated to him. http://www.billiardsdigest.com/untold_stories/therealfats.php

4). Rush Limbaugh ? No politics PLEASE. This man verbalized on air what I have been thinking most of my adult life but never really heard it said. He proved to me that I was not alone in that thinking. http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/today.guest.html

My ideal ring game would consist of some of the great story tellers. And the ones the great stories are about.
1. The Fat Man
2. Keith "Earthquake" McCready
3. Jackie Gleason
4. Grady "The Professor" Mathews
With Howard Cosell and John Madden announcing. Halftime activities would include Wonder Dog and his side kick.

Awesome

Jimmy Reid
Keith McCready
Wade Crane
Earl Strickland

Assuming that they are all in their prime.. I don't know who would win!

OH.. forgot to say, betting really really low.. since I might not win a game!

Jessica Simpson

Eva Longoria-Parker

Diane Lane

Faith Hill

So, they can't play? I don't give a s---!! I've seen enough good players to last a lifetime.

Any 4 members of the Hooters swimsuit calender team would do just fine for me ;)

Well as long as it is a dream ring game and anything goes on who I pick I will go for 6 and exclude myself.

Ralph Greenleaf circa 1932 or so.

Willie Mosconi circa early 1950's

Luther Lassiter circa 1964

Mike Sigel circa mid 1980's

Earl Strickland early 1990

Efren Reyes circa mid 1996

I would LOVE to see a long ring game played between these players. Not one of those ring games that ramps up the money until it becomes a flip of a coin, I want to see a long match where they all get ample opportunity to shoot and see who comes out on top.

Those are the 6 guys I would throw in there to see who the true greatest of all time is and feel pretty confident that the guy coming out on top really would be the greatest of any era.

its so hard to narrow down...this would be tough action

in their prime:

Luther Lassiter
Eddie Taylor
Jersey Red
Don Willis

the guys in my avatar would be ok too!

Pool wise, my 4 players would be Luther Lassiter, Earl Strickland, Fong Pang Chao & Shannon Daulton. Grady & Billy commentating for Accu-Stats is a MUST.

Other people wise, I have always wanted to meet Garry Kasparov (the former World Chess Champion).
For the other 3, I would be thrilled to have any Navy SEAL or Delta Force operators join in. The U.S. military special operators have always been my real heros.

All the nuts

I would be honored to have your other 3 in my ring game also. Your right they are the real heros!

Nobody ever mentions Harold Worst, dammit

Worst
Lassiter
McCready
Greenleaf

Two shot roll out, naturally

I wouldnt want anyone better than me, so no professional pool players. I know most of them anyway and have seen them all play before, so here are mine

1)Tiger Woods
2)Phil Mickelson
3)Brett Favre
4)Troy Aikman

honorable mention (others I'd like to meet in general)

Kobe Bryant
George W. Bush
Fred Couples
Bob Costas
Jim Nantz
Nick Faldo
George Clooney
Chipper Jones
Greg Norman
Jessica Biel
Billy Joel
John McCain
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Scarlett Johanson

Tiger Woods
Michael Jordan
Warren Buffett
Jay-Z
Bill Gates

This is my line-up to play against if we are betting alot of bags.

If just for the experience, remove the last 2 and include Efren and Catherine Zeta-Jones

Willie Nelson
Matt Damon
David Letterman
Paul Newman
Steve Buscemi

I'm picking people that I might have a chance to beat. :o

Paul Newman because I want to talk him into being a consultant on my upcoming project.

David Letterman because I just like his sense of humor, and he plays pool.

Willie Nelson because his music would definitely be featured in my project, "On the Road Again."

Matt Damon because I want him to produce, direct, and star in my project. ;)

Steve Buscemi because I think he is an excellent and experienced character actor.

A gal can dream, can't she? :D

JAM

Corvette Chipper Jones has a new Brunswick I just installed. If you do get the chance to talk to him ask him about somthing other then baseball, like hunting...
