* Your Pro Pool Clinic with Tom Kennedy, Matt Sherman *

Included the above because even though you quoted it you didn't address any of the points I made.

Another crystal clear example of your MO. Dodge and deflect.
I gave 4 excerpts from articles authored by you which all contain false information. There really can't be any dispute about that.
I guess even though you're a top notch instructor facts don't much matter and it's all about the money.
To(ny) probably missed those inaccurate statements in his vetting process, is that what happened? Hard to believe seeing as how they're so blatant and there's dozens of others strewn all over that site, all with your name on them.
I'm out on this thread. It's obvious your dishonesty has been exposed to everyone. I'm sure I'll be around in the future to dispute your next batch of false statements you post on another thread. But I've had enough of this one.
Good call. Let him have the last word. That's what I did and always do with him because he doesn't know how to end a conversation. We have to do it for him.

I'm happy to debate the 4 items you've shared, although your short term memory disqualifies you from debating, since in my post #163 I wrote to you:

"Setup a video zoom or a new thread here at AZ and I'll debate you on any billiards subject you choose so we can all see which trashman, Sparkle, is taking out the garbage."

You didn't ask me to debate any of the excerpts. You even wrote, "There really can't be any dispute . . . " or put differently, you're afraid of debating me.

Still want to debate? Set it up, take two Tylenol, and call me in the morning.

Fran, that's just not true (pun intended, haha).

Although I know you lack time to debate me longer, since dawn's first light turns you to stone.

"Good call. Let him have the last word. That's what I did and always do with him because he doesn't know how to end a conversation. We have to do it for him."

Redacted to, "Anytime he asks persistent questions I don't want to answer, I cut-and-run, for example, I don't want to admit Tony Robles absolutely signed off on his teaching."

**

Or let's put it differently, why do you debate me at all, since I'm--what did you say, insane? Do you spend a lot of time teaching pool in mental asylums, or just AZ? And can you parse the difference between the two?

You see, you are gold and silver for me, each time you or Fran send people to my articles, I hear a cash register.

THANK YOU!
I haven't thrown one bit of shade at you in this thread, and I have no reason to. Please read this question without having your guard up. I did check out the website and had to ask why you say "In a game of Straight Pool between two skilled combatants, english is employed on perhaps 1 or 2 of every 100 shots taken"? I play and watch tons of straight pool and I'd say there is some amount of English applied to most shots.

I think you are correct and I should have written much english. Like you and most, I put 1/8 or 1/4 tip here or there in Straight Pool.

Thank you for the correction.

Oh ho-hum....just a casual, minor mistake he made. It's not like it's about an important part of the game or anything. I don't know a reputable instructor that would say or write something so wrong about the application of English. That statement alone should scare off any serious student of the game.

In true BA fashion, he side-steps how horribly inaccurate his statement was and thinks maybe the issue was just a single questionable word choice. Unreal.

I don't think anyone should stop posting in this thread, because unless BA gets it deleted somehow, it should forever serve as a cautionary reminder of what's out there in the Instructor world.

Dear BD,

As a sapient member of the AZ community, I humbly leave it to your judgment, are you saying I made an error larger than omitting a word? I've ordered a quantity of stones, although it seems you are early to the front of the line for throwing.

Or put differently, I agree--anyone wanting to pay for a pool lesson (as opposed to seeking free tidbits on, say, an internet subforum) should flee any instructor who drops one word from a key sentence. I mean, that's the standard you wish to be treated with, is that correct? Your employer, your spouse, your children, should be scared away when you omit a word from a sentence?

And why did you use the words "scare off"? Why is it always fear on your part? Why are you afraid to learn to and impove your own pool game?

PS. I sent you a PM. Thanks.

PPS. Wanna discount on the Pro Clinic for July 27?

Stop with the disingenuous nonsense. Read this slowly -- YOU ARE NOT FOOLING ANYONE ON AZ! I knew you couldn't actually just accept correction on your ridiculous assertion that english is only used on "1 or 2 shots out of a 100", and instead you pretend you just left out a single word. You're just too much. It's not the words you used -- it's your complete butchering of an idea. This is a disqualifying error. It shows a colossal misunderstanding of how the game of pool is played!

I'm hopeful that your bad information scares off prospective students. For the 5th or 6th time I'm not one of those prospective students as I'm not interested in taking instruction from someone who so routinely gets basic things about the game WRONG! I don't do the JB routine where I proposition someone to prove their worth on the table, but I assure you it's for your own good.

I won't be responding to your PM. See above (not interested).

I understand what you're saying my friend but some of us have been dealing with his lunacy for many years. At a certain point you have to stop to protect your own sanity.

You can keep at it for awhile but I can assure you he'll continue to do the same moronic things until the end of time.

I just feel so sorry for those few poor souls that get sucked into giving this scammer their hard earned money.

I see now why you're in the basement.

"I knew you couldn't actually just accept correction on your ridiculous assertion . . . "

And yet I accepted the correction and thanked the poster for their correction and they liked my post. But you've done a good job this second time in accusing me of being a charlatan for dropping a word.

I'd ask how you sleep at night but obviously you don't sleep, you stay up all night thinking of mean things to say. You're not a good communicator, so I suggest you take a pill and sleep instead.

You are wasting your nights. Relax, smoke a bong, have a six pack, chill.

It's not a few people, a lot of people give me money for books, lessons, etc. -- get your facts straight!

I've noticed this is two posts in a row you've ducked my challenge:

1) Pick a subject in pool to debate with me, to show who knows their stuff. We can go live on Zoom so people see I'm not researching my immediate answers to your "challenges".

2) Debate.

Of course, you'll turn this down because you are an avatar and afraid to tell us your real name and (lack of) occupation and etc.

I'm free to debate Thursday, I have very few work meetings. How about it?

495.00? He has to have completely lost his mind. Darren Appleton did a clinic at our place. A full 8 hrs. ( Not 5 1/2) for 200. Granted, no lunch or trickshots.
No laundry list of pro secrets or absurd guarantees about progress. Guess that's why it was so cheap.
Sparkle, a group clinic is similar to an individual lesson, sometimes the lower priced choice is not the best choice. And did Darren Appleton have a second teacher with him? We've rented a private room for the day and both TK and I will be paid for the clinic.

Do you feel Appleton's clinic was worth your $200? What kind of changes were made in your game that day or in a friend's game? Did you make significant Improvement in a short time and did those changes last for a long time after the clinic?

I'm not a monster. If someone has a bad experience at next month's Pro Pool Clinic, I will refund my fee to them. And if ones would like, I can post some samples from the clinic here, so people get a feel for my teaching.

No thank you!

I'm a firm believer in the first amendment and for freedom of speech on an American forum. I dislike many of the things said by Sparkle and Basement Dweller, but banning them will not solve anyone's issues.

I'm also a great believer in personal improvement, and I'm dead certain if the three of us hung out for two hours and played a ring game over some beers, we'd be friends.

Not to nitpick, but your first amendment right to freedom of speech does not really apply here. I would like to play pool and have a beer with almost every poster on this forum. :)

Only about two or three people on these boards have irked me enough to want nothing to do with them.

That is true but it's also not fair to have such a glaring double standard in a number of different instances as well as toward
different members.
I guess the next statement could be, "fairness does not really apply here. Only biased favoritism."

Fairness applies here, tho it is fairness as determined by AZMike. His house, his rules.

OK. So here are the new rules written and currently in force by Mike. Are they being followed in some of the current threads?
Is anything being done about it? Does it apply to everyone or are there individual exemptions?

Be respectful

This forum is for civil discussion. Consider this forum as your local pool room. Post with the same respect you would show someone at your local pool room. Disagreement is ok, but disrespectful insults are not.

In general, be courteous to others. Debate/discuss/argue the merits of ideas, don't attack people. Personal insults, troll accusations, hate speech, any suggestion or support of harm, violence, or death, and other rule violations can result in a permanent ban.

Personal attacks of any kind, directed towards members or non-members, will not be tolerated. Treat others with basic decency. Name calling, ad-hominem, demeaning, inflammatory, or other uncivil comments are not allowed
Sure isn't being enforced in THIS THREAD.

Here's another NEW written rule:
Yes. No topics are verboten.

Wanna bet? CTE is completely shut down in the aiming forum and those who know the MOST about it are banned from the
aiming forum. I don't know what would happen if it was mentioned in the main forum. Probably a lifetime ban.

I think this post is where the train derailed. Did Sparkles post violate the rules? Did Billiard About’s response violate the rules?

It is clear Matt’s did with the troll accusation. Sparkle’s is more subtle and can be viewed as an insult, so I think his treads on shaky ground, but nothing that would put it over the line.

It goes downhill from there.
