All of the cues in my case have matching specs so switching cues is much easier since the cues play similarly.
When I open my case, I often choose a different cue than the last time I played pool. If one of my friends stops
by the pool hall on the way home from work or while running around doing errands, they know they can pick any
cue in my case to play with. But the main reason is if I carried a 2x4 or 3x6 case, I really don’t know which 2 or 3
cues I’d choose to carry. By the time I got to the pool room, I’d be thinking I should have taken both my Owen cues
or included my Scruggs. I have some great cues to play with and so I want them with me when I play pool.
Unless I am playing a match, I probably will play with 3 cues in the course of 3-4 hours. I play 8 ball, 9 ball and 10 ball
and 14.1 matches at the pool room. I often will change cues when playing match with a different format. Heck, the sole reason for having multiple cues is you get to play with them or else thin your collection since cues really aren’t art. A pool
was meant to be played with otherwise just go buy some posters of pool cues if you don’t intend to play with your cues.
